Hey Aaron, thanks again for the advice on my 30DN Differential fluid. Maybe I can return the favor by telling you about my experiences with upgraded wheels and tires for the Honcho. As we know, the stock foams are suitable for trail work but not very good for serious climbing or sidehill work. I first put Steady Foams in my stock Falken tires and they worked very well indeed. If you vent your tires and run in a wet environment, the foams will suffer accordingly. Next I put the Steady Foams in the Proline Hyrax G8 tires (came with purchase of the truck) and it performs even better. I also added a Vitavon overdrive to the front diff. This is very helpful when climbing but a bit annoying if just running trails. I bit the bullet and purchased the 3BRC anti-foams and truly like them.....but I'm not sure they are worth twice the cost over the Steady Foams.....unless you run in wet conditions a lot. I did put some aftermarket RCLions wheels on as well and I really like the extra weight down low. I have a set of Super Swampers coming soon and I'll let you know how those hook up.....or not.

Thanks for the tips! I certainly don’t use these trucks to their potential. When woods walking seasons starts again it will be time for some more upgrades.

@@aaronshobbygarage2338 I put in a slightly better steering servo and use a 10amp BEC, which gives me all the steering I need while crawling. I also upgraded the front axle with aluminum c-hubs and bearing carriers which includes a much better mount for the panhard link. Finally, I installed some Vitavon front and rear shock towers. I think aluminum front towers are very important (again wrt the panhard mounting point) but the rear towers aren't really necessary. Hope your weather changes soon!
