Broke a few axles with this set up made a few fwd trail trucks it's a great priced motor the fun part of this set is you can run the hw 50 amp an up will run 3s fine for a hour plus trailing even tore my slingers on beadlocks with the tq it puts out

Yeah they run well, he comped it today and killed that horrible steel spur gear. I hated that gear, LoL.

So for my wraith spawn I like to bounty hill not so much rock crawling I want brushless and big power and speed what would be the best setup I’m looking at a tenshock just don’t know if it will have the speed I need and big top end power I like. Tractor tires in the back and sticky’s up from pls help

To me it seems like the ten shock Motors seem to do better with not cogging with the higher KV Motors. Seem to have quite a bit of cogging. What did you think about that motor in the Wraith?
@ExocagedRC6 жыл бұрын
The 1750 seemed to be the smoothest of them all, the 1250 was so slow but would be fine for a trail walk and should be very efficient along the way. I liked the 1750 in the Wraith but it’s out now and I’ll be running it against the Holmes Hobby Revolver 1800kv motor soon. The Revolver is an outrunner and is 14 pole so I expect it to be way smoother than the TenShock but the test results will speak for themselves.

Loving the videos and definitely like the tire and motor tasks that you do! I think it helps a lot of people make more informed choices bye having someone show them the difference on the same vehicle with the same setup just different motor or tires. Are those the voodoo KLR's? They seem to be a real good Tire, I've been real happy with the hyrax 1.9 xl's, my SCX10 came with the BF Goodrich ko2's (which have a OD of 4.65 in and the hyrax xl's have a OD of 4.73 in which seems to fit perfectly instead of the regular 1.9 hyrax with an OD of 4.5 in) which actually I was surprised how well the ko2's work on rocks but not too aggressive of a tread for other surfaces where the hyrax shines and they definitely don't work bad on the Rocks either! I know your subscribers have to appreciate how you respond to comments! U have set an example for others to follow

Love the motor and tire tests you do not tasks, and it's a SCX10 II XJ Cherokee kit, dang spell correct, I guess I need to proofread before I send comments.

thank you, I'll be testing the Hyrax, RockBeast and Deepwoods against the KLR Gold tires in an upcoming video, probably be next month before I can actually shoot and post the video but stay tuned.

After watching this for the eighth time - I have to add to my other Comment.... That's some Damn NICE Wheeling!! And those Tires are sticky SWEET!!! 👍👍 My Crawling Experience - ZERO!! 😭😭😖 (At least in small scale. I used to Crawl in 1:1!! *MANY* Moons ago.) I've got a LOT of catching up to do! Carmine 🚂

I got the same ESCs and motors personally I like the 2400 kv tenshock motor instead. Iv tried many motors in my element Enduro Trail walker. From sensorless 3660 size 3300kv and 4276 2200kv which was very interesting btw lol. And a 4268 2250 kv and it was also interesting lol. Each one used with the same ESC your using in this video. The Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL120 3s esc which is a bad ass esc I love it. Only thing I don't care about it is.. well two things actually is where it don't have the extra Bec voltage it's only set for what 6.4 or 7 something and can't change it... And where it's not water proof.. other than that it's a good esc and my fav 3s esc. My personal reason for liking it so much is because of it's amazing power. Most 3s esc are what? 60amp 80amp and 100amp... Not many 120amps they are rare lol. So seeing a 3s 120amp is really good so I prefer it in my 3s rigs. So you get that extra protection when the motors wanna pull more than normal Amps. So you basically get better power performance from this particular esc than most others. And it being 60 bucks isn't bad at all lol. It's a steal at that price. Iv used it alot I'm my element Enduro Trail walker but atm I put the Max 10 in it because I got a aftermarket servo sitting in it and needed the extra grunt for it. And didn't wanna over power the rig to much considering it's just a trail rig n rock crawler. But I wasn't to happy about having to put my stock spur gear back in my truck after changing the motors again lol. I'm not big on small tooth gears 48p gears ain't the best. And being plastic I don't trust it much for what I do. So I'm definitely gonna have to find a 32p n mod 8 pinions with the small hole instead of the standard 5mm ones. Im rocking the tenshock 2400kv motor. I really like it alot so imma probably keep it installed. It's been really good very and I mean very little cogging if any now one thing iv noticed about it is it's a noisy lil fella lol it has that high pitch cry to it when I'm creeping up hills n over rocks. It has plenty of ass behind it to throw the truck over stuff when need be. It's got good speed... Now before I installed it I did try it out in my Arrma Granite I'm building up to see if it has the power to push heavier rigs with gearing more towards speed off-road. And in my granite Im running a max 8esc atm. And I tried it with a 4s esc and yup it scoots 😂😂 it had enough power to wheelie the granite and jump and it done 52.9 mph so I can't complain lol. And it got a lil warm but that's about it. Those two extra poles help it alot. So I through it in my element and I couldn't be anymore pleased with it.

WOW! That was possibly the SMOOTHEST, especially at "off zero" SENSORLESS BL I've EVER seen!! Yes, the Holmes Outrunner Brushless Motor WILL be better..... But this is the best I've SEEN. And for the price, that's amazing!! ........ I wonder if there's any left?

Quick update.... The Motor is in! I went with a 10 Tooth Pinion. I haven't even finished building her yet - but HAD to play around in the Apartment, over books, baby toys and such. DAMN!!! I'm impressed. 👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 As I mention (TOO often!!), I'm in a HORRIBLE place, financially..... After taking the advice of the Hobby Shop, I got the Hobbywing ESC, like yours - sorta. I could only afford the 60 Amp version.... Since you have a LOT more recent experience than I do, I was hoping that you could give me some advice. I've been in the Hobby since 1985 (YES, I'm Old!!). However, this is my very FIRST Brushless System, Ever! I have been reading up on it for at least 5 years, seen LOTS of Videos, and asked questions. According to MOST of the Comments I've been reading lately, it seems like at least 98% of the Hobby is about Extreme Overkill !!! 😱😱 It's cool, just not what my 54 year old butt wants anymore. 😉 I just got a setup, that may seem tame to some..... But I really have NO Budget! I just got a Hobbywing WP10BL60 Sensorless ESC, with the TenShock Sensorless 3660, 1750kv, 6 Pole 9 Slot Motor. It's going in a fairly Low Geared Axial Wraith..... Is the 60 Amp ESC going to be adequate for my Wraith, used as a Trail Rig with some Crawling, only momentary bursts of speed - with the 1750kv Motor?? I'm a Disabled Veteran, with very little money, this is the best I can do. However, that 6 Pole TenShock Sensorless Brushless Motor is shockingly smooth! NO noticeable Cogging, SLOW starts, and a real Torque Monster!! I've at least seen quite a few Brushless Motors running, either on Video (including THIS one!) or in person at the local Rock Pile.... This is seriously the Smoothest Non Sensored Brushless Motor I've ever seen!! AND, under $40.00US! She's not quite "finished" yet. I'm just crawling around the Apartment with a Battery taped to the Roof!! 😱😜 I'll add, because I am old school, just getting back into the Hobby after an 18 year Hiatus - I STILL run *NiMhs!!* 😱 7.2 or 8.4 volts only.... (No Fire Bombs!!! 🌋🔥🔥) That's as much info as I can think of. Will 60A be good? I was sold this, first because I could actually afford it, and because of my ignorance on the subject, I had to almost blindly take the Hobby Shop's advice. Thanks! Carmine 🚂

yeah we have and its not a very good crawler esc at all, jumpy, irradic and just not very precise. it did its best with this motor. The AXE system by hobbywing is pretty good for scalers.

It's a bit lurchy... a brushed system seems much, much smoother (but without the top end and requires maintenance so pick yer poison).
