Camp 8. I remember thinking that Martin and Eddie had great chemistry in this film. It also showed Martin's more dramatic side, which I was impressed with, especially when he told off Ray about how they were stuck together for 12 years. Also, funnily enough, Martin's daughter is with Eddie's son. They are practically family now.

I did 13 months in the pen, and to make the day go by, you have to create activity. I had a kitchen gig working lunch and dinner, and when I wasn't working, I would play basketball. I found like minded guys who were from my are, and so at nighttime, we would all shoot the shit until lights-out. Of course, thoughts of the world and freedom came frequently but I trained my mind to not think too passionate about it. Tbh, the only time that things got tough for me was whenever I made my phonecalls home and the 15 minutes would fly by and afterwards I would be in Mt feelings. But to counter that I would start card or chess games with niggas to occupy my mind. All in all, you have to keep busy cause soon as you have too much time to sit and think, the sooner you'll be in your feelings and the days seem longer. Oh and never , I mean NEVER count the days lol, I did but I shouldn't had. Easier said than done.

Also, later wen they escape, he knows that someone is missing wen it appears his count is off wen he’s doing bed chek. Also also, how does he know that he’s missing any rocks if he can’t count.

54:14 they had to be running for awhile tho bc Mississippi state prison is in parchman, Ms and it’s said that they made it to the tallahatchie river before they got caught. Walk’n distance from the two is 15 hours and some change. But that does cause a plot hole bc if they were that far ahead and bob them didn’t start chasing until nightfall, it does bring up how did they catch up so fast.

I love this channel so much I just became a new member. Great review of another classic film. By the way, have you seen the movie "Origin" by Ava Duvernay? It had me in tears. I don't usually make requests, but I would love to hear your thoughts and analysis on the caste system in U.S. and how it's interconnected with the Holocaust. That would be a deep, eye-opening conversation I'm sure. If you've already covered it, please let me know where to find it. Thank you.

Thanks so much and we appreciate you joining us with your membership! We saw Origin, and we have so much to say on the caste system. We wanted to also listen to the book on which it was based so that we make sure we are getting a true representation of the author's position before we provide a review. This is one of those movies that deserves a bit of extra research. It's in the queue--a very long queue though. Maybe we can do something short just for the members that will give some thoughts on the overarching theme though. I'll see what I can do!
