Great game. Loved seeing the orange skies strategy. Learned a lot. Thanks as always.

GG Your decision to slow down the UK early is what saved you in this game. Note to self, when playing MacMac, be aware he will take risky battles to get back in the game.. ;)

Thanks! Yeah after that start you need something for compensation. Haha yeah its my MO :D

I have never understood why people strat bomb, in particular strat bombing Russia. The expected value is +1 ipc, however this assumes your opponent repairs all damage. When Russia is producing 5 units a turn they do not need to fully repair both complexes. Similarly, the UK does not always need to repair London. The second point is that when sending two bombers to the Caucasus it is impossible to do more than 8 ipcs of damage again reducing the expected value. Finally, there is the opportunity cost of using a bomber to strat bomb. Therefore it is hard for me to imagine the expected value being positive outside of very specific situations.

On g3 could you build 1-2 submarines as 'fighters' since there are no destroyers in range?
@MacMac01m5 ай бұрын
Yes, but i really dont recommend it, In this instance they would be useless immidietly and he can just destroyer block in SZ6

@@MacMac01m yeah I noticed later in the video watching that he never makes another play at the navy until Japan has aerial dominance.

Serious question how do you deal with games where your opponnents are just herpaderping yolo battles with terrible odds but its a crucial battle and they succeed? While you yourself taking the save 80%+ battles and you get those below 5% results that are basically costing you the game? I have now lost 4/5 games to literally the dice themselves. had a chance to sink all US transports with a 66% chance (got 0 hits and 3/3 hits in return) had 80% to hold India and lost 9 Fighters while the opponnent had half of his attacking army survive now had a all in on Germany with 30% to succeeed guy gets a 7% result. had a 98% to take andon average I should have enough left that I can reinforce with Japanese Fighters to have 90% to hold., Opponnent has 50% more hits than expected and now I get a 35% to hold if I am willing to sacrifice 5 Fighters. And I forgot the game where my Opponnent did 30 Bombing runs and lost exactly 1 Bomber during the game. This game makes me wish for the superpower to punch a developer via the Internet. What good is strategy in this game when you get absolutely outdiced, and currently its a freaking streak. Of course I am not delusional that one cant win every game but let me at least lose by being outplayed and not just every loss that I had this whole season so far just because of ridicoulus results.

I think that’s what makes the game interesting as well. These peaks and troughs happen and hopefully get averaged in the long run. The dice provide risk and chance and force adaptability otherwise it would be low luck or mains well play a game of chess. Feels more like life when sometimes you just get a crap outcome in life.

Sry to hear that, unfortunetly its part of the game. I had the same thing happen to me. I have lost SZ7 as G Round 1 4 games in a row and had the Battleship die vs the UK destroyer 3 times in a row. Sometimes you get in these bad streaks. Regarding your India hold, 80% is good and that is not much to do about it. You want opponents to take those odds since you will just win 80% of the time right there. Another thing you can do is to not take the battles even if you have good odds as you describe 66% on enemy fleet, i actually passed on that in this very game :) You should always ask yourself before you take a battle what will happen if i get a bad result, if the result is bad, can i recover? or am i so far behind that i need to take this risk. Depending if your ahead or behind sometimes its better to pass on the battle and wait for better opportunities. But keep grinding, the dice will change after awhile :)

@kalleanka5103 I wasn't in a bad shape so I thought using my Japan airforce to completely take out the American supply line was worth the risk, it was 2 fighters and 1 bomer vs 1 carrier, 1 destroyer and 1 cruiser. And it was a KGF. I was sitting there for probably half an hour debating if I should do since it was 6/7 transports. In the end I lost to 4 bombers strat bombing Berlin every turn for 7 rounds without a single bomber being shot down. Stopped me from getting any decent infantry stack in Berlin. But yeah in hindsight it seems like the dice literally hate me. I shouldn't take any decisive battles below 90-95% which then delays the game so much that my opponent can make a all in play to win. I am watching the game vs torrence where you had an abysmal start. But clawed your way back, but I am also observing that he does have some really really bad /unfortunate rolls there.
