Don't see any way the Axis powers can pull this one out. Germany is toast and no way Italy and Japan can do enough to make up for it. I think a key is keeping really strong fleets in spaces to avoiding losing transports and lesser ships easily to small attacks. Germany lost basically their entire sea presence by turn 2.
