Thanks for doing this video! A few clarifications: 31:35 - The Attacker MUST move in if they capture the territory, up to the Stacking Limit. Must not "can." So in this case, 10 victorious German units must move into Tobruk. 38:14 - Should be: "The Allies could have placed Sea Mines into this sea zone, as there are no Axis SEA UNITS present." You CAN deploy sea mines if there are just enemy land and air units there. You do mention this later during the deployment phase. 51:37 - The Self-Sufficient ability only allows a unit to DEFEND without supply. French units are Self-Sufficient, but they must pay supply to attack. Scout Cars have Hit & Run, which allows them to attack without supply. 47:29 - A little confusing for the viewer as to why the German Scout Car is attacking an empty Sirte, but your explanation is otherwise correct. The Hit & Run ability text is what forces a Scout Car to retreat after the first round of combat. This means that Scout Cars can never capture a territory. They can move in with their additional move post combat if other units do manage to capture it. Glad you are enjoying the game! Thanks, Matt Hyra

Just a quick question Matt, If axis defending forces in Mersa Matruh decide to retreat at the start of a battle are they still able to set off the land mine as they retreat? Just basing this off the operation torch setup scenario.

@@38thpanzerdivision56 They actually decide whether or not to retreat AFTER land mines and AAA rolls have been made.

Many thanks Matt, I will pin this reply for others to take note of. Yes, I absolutely should have made a clear distinction between the Scout Car Self Sufficient and its Hit and Run ability, and should have left no room for confusion with French units Self sufficiency. 🧐 The Sirte attack was just to show the movement--other errors are me tripping over my tongue. 🤐 Congrats and thanks for a very interesting game. 🍻

Hey Matt, just wanted to say a massive thank you for providing great feedback to the few training videos that are available on Axis and Allies North Africa. I am not one for learning exclusively from the Rule book and so excellent videos like this one, coupled with your comments provide a great additional resource.

Really fantastic work. Thank you! I've only just started to scratch the surface of A&A North Africa and I agree with you that this is the best and most interesting of the smaller battle and campaign games (D Day, Guadalcanal, and Battle of the Bulge) and not just because it's new. D Day is my favorite of the those earlier three games though I have never played Bulge.

Thanks for your comment: 🍺 I've really been taken by this game, too. 🤩 You must get Battle of the Bulge to the table - big handfuls of 12 sided dice. 😲 If that one floats your boat (and once you are used to it) I've recently tried a revision to 'Bulge' combat that may be of interest. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3anaHiKrL59q9E

@@chadvader974 No: sorry if I've suggested otherwise: I simply meant, I think they are cute. I have no knowledge of Renegade plans. 🧐 I wouldn't let it affect purchasing this title - the game stands-up as an interesting challenge. Of the 4 campaign games, it's instantly become my favourite. 🍺
