In the AXIS Camera Station 5.57 release we have introduced coverage areas that flash on maps. A cameras coverage area can flash when there is an active motion or event triggered recording. This is an ideal aid for operators especially when they are monitoring perimeters. Note that this can be applied to all or just some of your cameras. There is also an additional client setting which can be used to turn off the flashing view areas for a specific client. Allowing an operator to choose if they use the feature or not depending upon their requirements.
We have added a new trigger within action rules, the always active trigger. This can be used with schedules to create time-based actions such as turning on and off lights, but it can also be used to trigger time based recordings. You can use this function to create continuous recordings that use different stream profiles at different times of the day.
The HTTP notification action has been updated with the possibility to include data of what has triggered an action rule. This means that the event information can be sent to third party systems via an HTTP server. Parsing the device and time data you can use it to retrieve video.
Smart search has had several improvements. We have two new features associated with the display of results. You can now choose the number of columns that are displayed, and you can also choose to display just the detections.
Both of these features can help ensure that the display of results match the resolution of the monitor and operators’ requirements. We have also introduced similarity search which enables a search result to be used to search the video recordings for a similar person. This can be used by an operator to help investigate where a person has been within the site.
Within the access control element of AXIS Camera Station we have now added Anti pass back. Anti pass back can be applied to zones and readers. Two types of rules can be applied and well as a re-entry time. Note you can also configure card holders to be exempt from anti pass back, if necessary, this could be useful for security and reception personal who grant access to guests.
