I use the 10% Niacinimide from the ordinary... I have gone through I want to say 5 bottles and I really don't see a difference. I use it in the am. Also, I've been using the Brightening Serum Tropicals every other day... But my dang sunspot is still there and my acne scars are still there. I'm like half way through the tropical tube😢 it was like 45 bucks too!

Acne scars donor fade away with any creams or serums .. it will fade away with clinical treatments like chemical peeling ,Derma rolling , laser which should be done under qualified doctor

You should give Alpha Arbutin a try, the ordinary has it & I remember seeing results with my dark spots when I used it. Lol This is reminding me to rebuy it 😂 also sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen it really does help. & Yes chemical peels are very effective & not too painful, but make sure you go to a derm & I would do it in the colder months 💖

Faded by Topicals is great for dark spots. It contains Kojic Acid, Tranexamic acid, Niacinamide, and Azelaic acid, which are all great for dark spots. I used mine for 3 months and I saw a big difference, but it takes time. The Discoloration Correcting Serum by Good Molecules is also great but it's a little bit weaker; it only has Tranexamic acid and Niacinamide, but it's great for brightening, especially when paired with the Good Molecules Niacinamide toner. Also retinol at night is great for dark spots, and don't forget sunscreen. Lastly, if you have no luck with these products, Urban Skin Rx has a skin line that uses some of the ingredients I've listed in their products, which are specially formulated for dark spots and hyperpigmentation. YOUR NAME IS ZUKO? that is so cool, reference to ATLA lol. I have this product since i am also dark skinned, but blemishes and acne came because of laser hair removal, i use vitamin c to also help brightening and i also dont see much of a difference within 2-3 weeks using it.

Not really I didn't see any changes. I saw more of a difference from using the La Roche Posay Pigmentclar cleansar & other stronger products like tretinoin. Sunscreen is a must! but I would try the cleanser before this serum for a more even skin tone.

wearing sunscreen, gentle exfoliation, preventing acne as much as possible, and patience will get you there! if you want a strong treatment maybe consider a chemical peel.

honestly, use sunscreen religiously, focus on preventing the cause of the dark marks (acne/sun damage etc), & get a peel from an good esthetician/Dermatologist.

Some of my favorites that don't have snail/niacinamide are: the Acwell licorice root toner (helps me with acne) & maybe try out a moisturizer with ceramides in it. I don't have one to recommend, but ceramides are also good for reparing the skin barrier (like snail does). Hope this helps you find the right products for your skin!

I have the same experience, I have bruin skin (lfrom latin america) and I have been using it for 2 months with no results in my dark spots. But my acne is gone and my skin looks very nice if you discard the black spots. I have a question for you: Have you tried another serum for dark spots?

Yeah I used to use the ordinary alpha arbutin & remember linking it, but now I use Tretinoin which isnt necessarily for dark marks, but helps with EVERYTHING. I also do 1 chemical peel a year after summer, which helps with deeper dark marks. Hope this helps, I need to try more!

I would try niacinamide, snail mucin, maybe tretinoin if it's severe. & honestly reducing stress, diet & lifestyle plays a huge role. Also if your a teenager & its hormonal acne thts a whole other beast to conquer. Don't loose hope! Keep trying things & staying committed to your skincare routine. IT WILL PAY OFF!

It's hard for me to select a single product because I feel like its all of my products in combination, but the biggest difference I have seen is from using tretinoin, sunscreen, and good other healing hydrating products. (But careful with the tretinoin, its a super powerful ingredient & can make your skin worse if used wrong)
