WE DWARVES ARE NATURAL SPRINTERS; VERY DANGEROUS OVER SHORT DISTANCES. Love how you dive balls deep into the repairs on this utter beast of a machine. That thing scares the shit out of me just looking at it.

Gratz on the rebuild on your beast of a machine. I don't care what people say about the brand new equipment in farming in my eyes the Old 50s-late 70s equipment is made tough as F$$$ & It does its job & Last 10 times longer than anything they manufacture today. When it comes to repairs its pretty straight forward & no need to replace computers etc. I can't imagine working on today's equipment when it has issues same as cars & trucks its a bloody nightmare to work on them & way they are built from factory.

Chris I know you are detail oriented but in my experience you might want to wipe off all the old oil and grease off the assembly. In the near future if something leaks you will notice it rather quickly vs adding another layer onto those surfaces. Ask me how I know this ...brand new seals leak occasionally and let go ...it was an expensive lesson for sure...great project and video thanks for bringing us along

FINALLY! I have been watching that front end wobble for ages and warning you hey you need to check that front end... You got very lucky on the housing. That bushing was getting paper thin. Good job. Now no more wobbly front end and I don't have to beat you up about it anymore. Be careful going back under that tractor. It should last another 48 years...

Great work! I think this is going to be your best season ever! You have such a good work ethic that we are all hoping for your success! Please remember when heating a race or bearing, so you don’t damage or soften it do not heat above 275 degrees. If you are freezing a shaft or bearing and a regular freezer doesn’t shrink it enough, you can use dry ice to get it much colder (smaller) , if that is still not enough then you can pore acetone over the dry ice, the extreme evaporation temperature of the acetone will drop it as much as another 80 degrees! Just NEVER put dry ice into acetone, always has to be the other way around for safety!

On some of those hard to reach spots you ought to install some remote grease fittings

That groove on your yolk that looks like where the seal rides they should've sent you a speedy sleeve to make sure it's a good fit but maybe they don't make them but it's gonna look good once you're done

we put a pressed on bearing on a PTO shaft, put the shaft in the freezer, bearing in the oven, next day slid the bearing on the shaft where it was to be, and when it came to temp, on! put ball joints on a car that way, goes easy!
