I've put steel 15x15 inch plates on wheel dollies and rolled mine around the shop on the frame many times. Just set thr Jeep frame right down on them.

Going to be great for sure. I know you guys are a whole lot smarter than me but you scared the crap out of me with that jack under the rear diff then the balancing act that followed. Please don't get hurt.

Hey! I actually didn’t buy an AEV Brute Kit. We built it ourselves. I searched everywhere for a kit but could not find one. I said screw it, let’s just build one! It’s a complete custom build, everything was done by us.

Dana 60's on a TJ. 4.88 gears with 37's, lockers, 4-1 low range transfer case, v8 power. The main problem is the frame, it rots out quickly. In my opinion, I would start with the frame, and after market tungsten steel ones are available last time I looked. TJ's have tons of after market parts. You can almost build a complete one with aftermarket parts. I owned a 2000 TJ stock with a 4 banger and it out performed a CJ and a YJ with big tires and lift kits going up a steep rocky logging road. They had to make many attempts to get where I was waiting. The coil springs, I think is the key.

A tungsten steel car frame? $50,000? $100,000? $200,000? I can’t begin to comprehend this.

Any idea what mounting system the donor jeep used on the axles? I have metal cloak 6 inch I want to keep when I go to tons but can’t figure out trusses/brackets for the axles! Love the videos!!

Here's an idea on how to move the donor Jeep. Get 4 of those car dollies, you know the ones that you would place under the wheels to move a rig around in the shop. There usually plastic. Take a piece of 3/16 plate cut to a square you can bolt into the dolly. Tack a jack stand onto the plate. Make 4 of them. Now you can put them under the frame rails. For added security you could tack the jack stand to the frame. Hope that helps

That is a great idea! I appreciate that!

So awesome that you are doing this. Been planning some axle upgrades for my LJ and have a HP Dana 30 on the workbench and was planning on 5.13 gears and a cable ox locker for the front but now I’m looking at 1 tons for some odd reason!!!! Are y’all going to be in Pigeon Forge for the Jeep Invasion?
@BuiltDifferentGarage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Go tons!! Unfortunately we won’t, schedules just didn’t line up for it. Hopefully next year. I would like to make it to at least 5 Jeep/off-road events throughout the country this year.

Put the jeep on a utility trailer. You can roll it where ever you want.

Not a bad idea!

Just make a roll around jeep body Holder

That is pretty much what we have at the moment but it is temporary. We would like to build something that could be universal for different cars/trucks

Cool. Im planning on 69wms I think I will wait to see how yours turn out. Worried about turning radius being shortened with that wheelbase.
