My 96 impala ss has been doing this for two summers and my mechanic just found out it was the connector on the #5 injector. He used a little light bulb he plugged into the pigtail wiggled it and it went in and out. Also it threw all those same codes you mentioned! He used a stethoscope to listen to all the injectors as well as a ohms meter to find it.

I had the same issue by the way on a suburban 2011 thinking it was an injector but youd be surprised because on gm vehicles if theres a miss on a cylinder it disables the injector so it does not flood the cylinder but mine turned out to have no compression on cyl 1 like 0 psi and im thinking i have a bad lifter but great video glad you found the issue!!

I don\t think you did any mistake. (you hade to try with the injector since you allready hade it)....you just make sure we can see the light control on camera for us.......my theori on what i ve seen so far is that conector was bad all the time......you sayd in the begining on the video the problem was often when it was hot outside .....the plastic get afected by cold or warm temperatures....so i think that conector may be the fault from begining......don\t be hard on you....you give us something to see and toghether we learn somethin!!! My truck just blew the #8 cylinder something i cant figure out for the love of me my cylinder was washed and full of fuel as well as my oil had a half gallon of fuel in it roughly, i went through the injectors, coils packs, plugs, and wires. I only get a number 8# misfire code that flashes

Los mismos codes p0200 y p0300 En mi caso el bank 2 no tenia power solo graund y al desconectar los coil y inyectores El power aparecia Estaba confundido 3 times cheque los harness y los fuse Bueno por último el fuse bank 2 está muy flojo un pin Estaba confuso todo el tiempo tenía power so desidi moverlo y ese era el problema

If I was getting p0300 and my fuel injector wiring harness specifically under heater core hose could that just be a harness fix?

It's possible, but you have to determine the reason and cyl for the P0300, otherwise it's just a blind guess

Hello i have a 03 Tahoe check engine light is off but code P022 & P0300 comes up on scanner. We have ran the truck over 200 miles and the light does not come on but codes still show up on scanner. Do you have an idea why that could be?

I would GUESS, that it's a very infrequent code that doesn't meet the criteria to throw the light before it goes away on it's own. I wouldn't worry about it if the vehicle is running good and there is no CEL

What if you run it out of gas doesn't need to be reset

Just put more gas in it, no reset necessary

Similar yes, So your misfire on cyl 8 is most probably caused by a bad wire going to the fuel injector or a bad fuel injector.

I have a 07 Yukon 5.3 it started sayin I was out of gas and I wasn't then the other day engine light came ok sayin P0307 and it was idling rough plus I smelled gas drive it heard a pop from the engine and parked it. I'm thinking it's the injector ok cylinder 7

I would think the gas gauge reading and the P307 are not connected, but ya never know. If you smell gas could be an injector stuck open or a coil misfiring
