Trey originally wrote the drums on a drum machine. Challenged Fishman with the words "You can't play this." here we are.

Man, I remember hearing this song for the first time, and going “how is he even playing that drum beat?!?” This video definitely helped to figure it out, but then it made ask “wait, how the heck is he even playing that beat AND singing backing vocals?!?” Jon Fishman is so damned good.

It’s a great regret of my life that I didn’t go. I had just graduated high school a couple months before, and I was fan. I went to Australia that summer, so I don’t even know if I got back before August or not. In hindsight, IT should have been my #1 priority because I’d always wanted to go to a Phish fest, but I dropped the ball. Instead, I had to settle for Coventry as my first Phish festival. 🤦♂️ Still grateful for the overall Coventry experience, despite the musical disaster and negative overtones. But goddamn… only a year earlier I could have gone to one the BEST Phish fests ever instead of the worst. Such is life I suppose!

Sometimes i feel.. ....i am taken far away ......back to those fields in Limestone, with my jaw hanging open as teenage me is blown away by how amazing this weekend was... "Our intent is only for your delight" and it certainly was..... what an amazing time that was! Lifelong memories for sure.

Couldn't say it better myself. At lemonwheel night set break our group of six was seperated 3and 3. Mushrooms so nobody was vocal but so careful not to step on anyone at set break looking down in Sea of 100,000 little blankets we came head on into others looked up our other three friends lmao. Nobody could talk 😂 exchanged happy faces watched last night set together. It's those little things and memories we were 18 too everything is new and an adventure. Music was whole nother conversation great went better than lemonwheel but splitting hairs experiences stay with you forever vividly. Love your story sorry to ramble just relate 100%

Almost no one plays bass. Haha. So very few people are hearing what you are hearing. Generally I find Phishman and Trey to really be the ones that makes this band special. But that’s just my opinion. I love Mike and Page as well. Haha.

Story of the Ghost in my opinion is Mike's album. He brings it. Meat, MOMA Dance etc. I always wonder how the hell he manages to just keep going. Every video I see he's just always in the zone plunking away lol.

Also I think most mobile devices just can't deliver strong bass so it gets kind of pushed to the back. I'm listening on an android right now and I have to intentionally listen just for him but the mids and highs are clear. Works great for the rest of the band lol.

I just love how Trey digs deep and just grabs this one by the nutes at like 9:20 after that little interplay with Page. Damn I really screwed up and missed a lot of good shows during this timeframe. I was old school and got an attitude at them. There are some good nugs in this time period! I learned the hard way. Thought it was them and learned it was me!

Yeah, there was some really great stuff in 2003/2004. I did a bunch of shows those years. Dark time for me and the band but some great art came of it. Conversely a lot of it was pretty sloppy too.

I was 18 years old in 2003 just missed the tail end of phish 1.0 as i entered the scene in late 2000 with the dead SCI and Moe and was so pissed I Missed out on Phish so was so so happy to get a chance to see them when they announced their comeback, I hit 8 shows that year plus IT, this Was one of the best weekends in my life and one of 3 way tie of the best festivals I'd attended the other 2 being the 1st Bonnaroo in 2002, and Hornings Hideout in 2004 of SCI, STS9, Keller Williams and Michael Franti with Spearhead, but this weekend was truly special as it was something that I loved and (at the time) thought I'd never get a chance to see, it topped off a summer I thought would never happened

This style though they own it cause they created it, inspired by modern jazz quartet in 83' still are, but Zappa, dead, Pink Floyd, classical like Stravinsky again Zappa parralell. Agree though this is theirs especially big Cypress and prior. Went, lemonwheel, island tour, Worcester Wipeout, so unique undescribable friend always said aliens would be impressed lmao.
