something so wholesome about seeing alumni that have gone and achieved great things in DCI/WGI come back and teach the next generation

Really nice use of the Tom line with the spocks and various aux parts, always a fan when they can contribute musically to the show in an audible way! :)

This is ridiculously good. All of the players are awesome and deserve mad respect from everyone.

I was there! I was behind everyone with the rest of the people, but it was probably the coolest drumline I’ve ever seen.

This book is so smartly written. Perfect amount of fundamental and more technical writing to balance it out. Pretty guaranteed to have progress throughout the entire season especially will new players.

@@thomascostello9116 I would say 6 to 7. The percussion has always been ran like a Drum Corps Percussion. The kids have a percussion class every day and rehearse after school 3 to 4 days a week

Bassline isn’t a filler position at all though.

Yes, but you always have 5 basses, you go up to almost 5 tenors or snares before you even think of adding more basses

@@alanuki8595 Ayala has never had huge numbers outside of percussion so they're probably at a point where they need to limit battery spots so they can avoid overpowering the winds without losing out in their intensity. More flat drums just adds likely unwanted volume, while a 6th bass drum can add to the sound musically.

@@johncoyle8551 I have to correct our band is usually over 200 members but the past 2 years we have been below 200 due to covid

@@Yerrr647 I’ve been a fan of theirs for a number of years. Seems like Rick does a great job with that program. They have their own identity and aren’t afraid to post videos showing their progress throughout a season. And their books always look fun to play.
