Hi Chu! If and when you go to Malay wedding, you’ll love it! The rice set you ate is the main dish. Usually there are many other food - some sort of dessert, some fruits, and perhaps different kinds of drinks, depending on the bride and groom’s budget. I’m in Malaysia now Chu. Came home from Ireland for few weeks. Come to Terengganu, I’ll take you around for food hunting!

We called that rice Nasi Minyak . In English we can call it Butter or Ghee Rice. We used a combination of ghee & butter to made that rice together with spices, onion, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, condensed milk and screwpine leaves. Homemade nasi minyak is the best.👍👍✌✌😊
