I wish people would have seen Jafaa without the lens of green flag and red flag, stan culture, chemistry between couples. It is a very realistic story of two relationships dealing with a very non ideal situations. It is not a love story or a fairytale but it's packaged in a very commercial way!! Jafaa is all about parallels. Thank you for pointing out the mothers. I feel so bad for Zara's mother. She wanted that life for her daughter which Deebu is living and Deebu's mothers never leaves a chance to flaunt her daughter's amazing susral!! Zara and Numair are so similar. They are two people who are so in control and accomplished in their professional lives but they struggle in their personal relationships because of their so called maturity. Zara suffered through her guilt and strength and Numair is now struggling with his practicality and social stigma of not being a man enough. Hassan and Deebu are carrying baggage of bad parenting and trying to fill that void through their partners!! Deebu and Numair relationship is not going to work at the moment now!! Numair's thought pattern is very believable but his actions are wrong and can't be justified whatsoever. And it is important to point out that its not just his doubt on his Deebu it's his own trauma and vulnerability and he just wants to put an end to his dilemma through DNA. But from Deebu's POV if I would've been in her place I would've slapped him right there and then!! P.S I don't like the fact that Numair's insecurity came at the expense of Deebu's character. And in next episode promo she is doing again going for a suicide attempt and she needs a serious character development and she needs HELP!!!
@sadafhaider8419Күн бұрын
Your analysis is always so deep & rational I agree with you at every point. I had hoped Deebu would mature but she hasnt had a chance . A foolish young girl looking for harbour at every point. I simply hate her parents, they should have been her anchors instead they pushed her out to sea . Her relationship with Moiz makes sense now - She was looking for someone to accept her

Love your analysis so spot on. Numair def should have been slapped . He is shoving his trauma onto her the way he blowed hot and cold throughout her pregnancy was bad enough and now this🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

SMD & AIJ have similar storylines but AIJ is much more interesting. What took SMD 6 episodes to play out the latter took only 1 episode to establish. Plus Sherry looks the part & is playing it so well.

Like Sadaf - Kuch Pyar ka pagalpan is one of my fav dramas ( I discovered it 3yrs ago). @mahwash - I enjoy your opinions and conversations even if I don't agree with them. I just have one comment - I know you are dismissing the opinions of lots of young girls because they like Sehar Khan. I disagree - they probably relate to that character because she is young (their age) and is being treated unfairly. Just because they are fans and have an online presence does not mean that their opinions are not worth anything: In any case most of the PTV drama ( not all of course - for example Radd pleasantly surprised me) show abuse by men being tolerated and their chars are such that they show redemption of the ML only in the last 5 mins of the final episode whereas women are shown to be treated miserably the entire drama yet are expected to go back to their abuser once they have apologized . I bet Zara's character was written that way initially and Mawra worked with Momina and Samira Fazal to change it and show that she is making the right decision on this by getting a divorce and therapy. Whereas Deebu's char gets no therapy or any support other than Numair agreeing to be a "Dost" . 😆

My question for Samira Fazal . What was Zara's char endgame before Mawra asked to work on the script and change it. And what was the process of collaboration between the actor / Writer/ director and Momina.
@samirafazal7091Күн бұрын
Mawra as an actress is always invested in the script she picks and that is commendable. Like other good actors and directors Mawra has also improvised lines of a few scenes with my consent , as these improvisations are important and necessary for most scripts. However, she has not changed any major development or milestones in the storytelling, neither would my producer or myself allow that.
@mahirasaiyed1618Күн бұрын
@@samirafazal7091 Thank you for responding. Zara's story was no doubt very inspiring for a lot of working women like me. Even a well rounded, working professional and modern woman with sympathetic and understanding parents can be taken in to go through verbal/physical abuse. And it is a Desi woman mentality that you give chances to a brutal man again and again. I felt so good that Zara didn't go back to him and chose the right course of action for her. I am just so tired by dramas showing again and again that women go back to their abusers after they say one jumla apology. But contrary to that Deebu's char had a very different arc. I wanted to let you know that it triggered a lot of young girls because they related to her character. Some one from a well to do and educated family but is being betrayed by everyone she trusts. No one is perfect but Deebu's character seems to go through an awful lot and we actually see a lot of difference in how Deebu is being interpreted by the young generation / older generation. I hope Deebu's char gets some respite and stands up on her own. I know that it is the norm to sensationalize women suffering for dramas to be successful but for a change I really wish that a great female character is shown who overcomes difficult situations and inspires the young desi girls. Because I know that you will admit being a young desi girl is not easy in the subcontinent. Many are starved of understanding and appreciation and so many times it takes a revolt against everyone you love to achieve what you want to.

One commet re Social Media....i am probably your age Sadaf or a bit younger and raised in the UK...so my teens and early 20s were pre social social media. Many Pakistani origin kids were already having relationships back then, not in the open their peers knew. So, to say SM has made it a must is just isn't true.
