In Pashto culture, a man experiencing fertility challenges is referred to as Mirat (میراٹ), which essentially means a person who is just ‘counting their days.’ This term implies that someone who cannot have children is seen as useless or incomplete. While this perspective stems from older tribal beliefs, where male children were highly valued to carry on the family legacy or become warriors, these outdated notions still persist today. It’s heartbreaking to see people facing such criticism, and I’m grateful to you for highlighting this important issue. Nice interview, i m sure buhat se admi her mulk main Asain hoon ya western wo khul ker apni koi bhi problems issues n health related concerns nahi share kerte q ki un ki waldain un ki frnd circle un ki bahun bhai ik admi se buhat se tawaqaat wishes expectation munsaliq ker late admi buhat baar chahaa ker bhi dil ki baat nahi bol pata Buhat se maa baap aj bhi beta se poota pooti nawasa nawasi mangte beta ko khandaan ki generation aage le jane ka pressure . Similarly women also find hard to express n share health concerns past or in laws etc if God for bid parents childless couple ok per afsoos ass pass ki loogo nahi chorte kith n kin keep giving suggestions advice tips loog nahi chorte . I never disliked Umair 's character i had questions in my mind y did he hide ,women his mother his wife had right to know thn i look at all circumstances in jafa i didnot blame or dislike Umair i kinda understand him he is not perfect he is shown human normal human with flaws Wrtter said rightly perfection only for Allah ( SWT ) v human white gray black red green with all emotions , Umair is hero n hero can b weak with demerits v shuld not forget wat Debo did she used to decive her parents bf used to come on rooftop Debo used to leave collge found on bike with bf parents loved her v saw other side of parents when Debo tried suicide mother sent her while knowing Debo unwanted Debo's mother in law was against, who took stand for Debo Umair was Debo life line . Debo human too n human ful of wishes desires .

I love how Sameera's writing constantly triggers the audience!! That is her strength specially in Jafaa. Initially it's very annoying but slowly you kind of understand it. So it's a job well done to at least start conversations!! Rest the biases and stan culture is always going to be there!! They are going to rant and burn themselves inside for the rest of their lives!!

Excellent interview and insight into the thought process behind the characters and issues. A suggestion to write about the issue that the gender of a child is determined by a man and not the woman as she has neutral chromosomes. For years women have been blamed for having girls. It's high time men owned this.

sorry but a spouse OWES their partner a conversation abt sth as huge as infertitity. It is wrong for a woman to hide it and it is wrong for a man to hide it. Numair can have sex with his immature wife, but cant have a difficult conversation with her? deebu can be forcefully married off and be made a teen mom but she cnt handle her husband telling her abt his health issue? i get numair didnt do the right thing but you all are hell bent on proving he COULDNT do it at all. he chose not to, he chose the wrong way, at least admit that. mahwash particularly is HELL BENT on justifying him but wont speak a word on how deebu has been wronged.

What abt her space? No, you dnt wanna give it to her, just to numair. It reeks of mard ko bhi toh samjh beshak aurat oppress hoti rahe mard k trauma sambhalte sambhalte. What abt her damage? There is a difference between allowing characters to make mistakes vs not acknowledging what they hv done is WRONG and to prove he had no other choice. Yall ok with deebu being a teen mom but say she is immature and cnt handle a convo abt infertility. Wahh. Just look at the nuance and leeway you give to numair and the leeway you give to deebu. And Deebu would have said," but this child is yours". And he would have said , "I have got myself checked several time and every time I got the same result". Then she would have said,"Are you implying that I was having extra Marital affair??". Numair would have said "no but iam shocked".. and then they would have a severe mistrust element in their marriage and this would not have helped deebu. And he could have never suggested to have DNA test and for all their lives they would have this misunderstanding and she would always give him taana ke aap to isay apna bacha hi nahi samajhte. Aur phir jab bacha ho jata to kia hota?? Open mind ke sath sochain ke numair asal main inhi consequences ka soch ke chup raha❤

It’s actually sad that 3 very educated women believe it’s ok for men to believe that their partner is a cheater or sleeping around. These ‘flaws’ are shown in surface level of dramas but they do ruin the other person. For once think about the girl who is accused for sleeping with someone else, think about the girl jiska shahor DNA test kar waraha because he thinks bacha nahi. Yehi mardoon mai flaws hein unko Samjho wali mentality is transferred to your kids by parents. And they take advantage of it. He is a nice man despite thinking his wife is sleeping around. He is mentally sick person and no one deserves to live with him.

There is a difference between justifying a character and trying to understand the reasons behind their motivations. People who are saying that Numair is accusing Deebu of cheating, it is reflection of their own mentality. Numair is consistently trying and struggling to defeat those thoughts and he just wants to put a fullstop to it through a DNA. In our usual dramas writers don't show a character's struggle. They just go and ask a CEO for 8 crore in exchange of selling themselves. When Numair helped Deebu through her suicide attempt everyone was happy, at that that time Deebu was wrong but he still chose to be a good person. And Numair will not get away with all this. He will face the consequences for sure!!
