hi andi first of all thanks a lott to your channel , am experiencing the divine by understanding the meaning behind even complex verses - i wrote it in telugu by hearing this, wherever ళ has to be pronounced, mostly i heard ల ... am so surprised as you give lot of importance to pronounciation... could you please clarify... in these instances avirala ganda (sloka 13) , moulimadorjita,moulimanisphura ( sloka 16) etcc...

Kindly teach us meaning of Hanuman chalisa word by word. I've been chanting it since childhood, I know the meaning of most of the lines though, but still an in-depth understanding for all of us will be great. The words in Hanuman chalisa also are in Avadhi language in certain places, not completely Sanskrit if I'm not wrong. My Guru for Hanuman chalisa is my Amma, Promila Iyer, who encouraged me to learn it and chant it daily.

It is in Hindi, not in sanskrut

Just a correction, Hanuman Chalisa is not in Sanskrit. It's in old form of Avadhi/Old Hindi (Avadhi is still spoken in UP and is considered a regional dialect of Hindi, not a separate language). Note, that by 'old form', I mean 'pure Sanskritised form' unlike modern Hindi which sounds more like Urdu due to a lot of Persian and Arabic loanwords. Just like our national anthem sounds like Sanskrit but actually is in Bengali; it's in Sanskritised Bangla.
