Their Altbairisch Dunkel is one of my favourites, really is a standout beer for me.

Ayinger is damn expensive here in the states. Ill sometimes pay $4 for Urweisse, my favorite of theirs, and that comes out to abouts 3.75 pounds these days. can't find their less common stuff for under $5 I'm afraid

Sound like a much better version of krombacher what a shame our local supermarkets dont stock quality bavarian beers like this.

Oh this would knock Krombacher into a cocked hat when it comes to flavour and yes, you're right. Sainsbury's and Waitrose have stocked Weihenstephaner beers in the past so there is hope. I've been told Paulaner is available in certain Tesco supermarkets down here in the south so things are looking up on that front.

@@bandsbikesandboozereviews you could probally open a supermarket just for the german beers alone, the selection is vast, with all the different regions producing different styles, i hope the likes of tesco will take note

'craft brewers' do not cater for the tastes of the common man & the only reason they exist is government subsidies. like i've said before, when i was on sites i never met 1 person who ended the day with a 'craft beer'. not one. this guy sums it up: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4fWnnlvosSBqpo can't argue with that.
