Ayleid Lich is far superior to Ancient Deathpriest: Skyrim Spell Test

He has more health, by far actually. Death priest has around 800, Ayleid lich has like 1500. He is way more aggressive, way cheaper to cast, does more damage, and summons more often. Oh and the Lich has a bunch more perks. Also Ancient Deathpriest is a master spell that takes forever to cast so its really pretty bad actually.

I never knew this summon existed until now so fine I will play skyrim and use a necromancer build again the gallows hall will also do nicely for my build god I love this game

If you have the creation, you have to have 90 conjuration and then the guy at the college of winterhold will sell it to you. He doesnt sell it all the time so reset his inventory. Ayleid Lich you need to make in the atonach forge.

@@kboutdoors4599I reccomend not bothering with the lich. You have to reach lvl 46 to get it and lvl 46 is waaaaay to high for a necromancer playthrough. Youd be shooting yourself in the foot. The lich also has random spells. He sucks most the time. Hes only occasionally even half decent. You want to stop leveling at 27-34 depending on who you want as dead thralls. dead thralls are far better than summons. Jf the thralls you want scale to 1.2 times your lvl, then you want to stop lvling at 34. if your thralls scale at 1.25 times you stop at 32. Some thralls like general falx carius are 1.5 times your lvl though, so you need to stop at 27 if you want to keep him. Unfortunately the robes that have the enchant for an extra summon dont drop until 32. So sometimes its worth losing general falx for the extra summon, even though hes an absolute monster of a dead thrall. I highly reccomend thralling miraak. youll have to miss your players wedding in order to do it though. he has a ton of shouts though! so does gormlaith who you can also thrall. you can even make them act like living followers (allowing sheathing and unsheathing weapons to match the player, as well as sneaking)and make them change their armor using the mind control spider glitch. gormlaith shouts a TON too. she even has the freeze shout which she loves to use. she alao looks awesome wearing stormbear armor and an amulet of talos! i also smithed a golden sword from the CC for her, so that her name "golden-hilt" actually makes sense lol. oh yeah i gave her targe of the bloodied too because it looks good with her armor and sword.

So the ancient deathpriest is meant to be used in specific builds. Such as builds that utilize stuff like flame thrall, soul split and ahzidals ring of necromancy. The ancient deathpriest can be split into 3 shades or 5 with soul split. all of which will exolode when you put the ring on. i suggest hotkeying it. Also, the ayleid lich has random destruction spells. sometimes hes the goat and other times hes a steaming pile of crap lol.

Very true. I'll add both of them tend to freak out and do nothing when attacked in melee. Give me a malignant zombie and stuff will really die much faster.

@@crunkers_ Try using staff of worms on draugr bosses and try using them with bone colossus. his ability heals draugr dead thralls too not just skeletons. The named draugr overlord "red eagle" is a good choice since his corpse never despawns.

@@crunkers_ If you are going that route, try the undead necromage glitch. You do not actually have to be a vampire to benefit from being undead! Hardly anyone knows about it. Heres a video on how. VERY hard to find by searching for it, so heres a link. id also reccomend Sickliff, leopoldstotch711, and iMACobra. They are all fantastic and have faaaaaar better tips and glitches than any mainstream youtuber ever has.

Hes not amazing. He has uses though. Try using him with soul split. youll get 5 shades (his normal 3 plus 2 from soul split). Combine this strategy with a hotkeyed ahzidals ring of necromancy and they all explode. so you can keep summoning ancient deathpriests and soul splitting them and have a ton of explosive summons. You could also uase the crown and ritual stone, but this strategy doesnt rely on dead enemies. unlike the crown strat, this will work even in a boss room against a single opponent. Is it the most effective way to play a necromancer? Hell no, but its still damn good fun.
