You know I think the ticket to Angkor Wat doubled since 2008, which is fine because they are doing great work and it’s a world class site. But how can they not raise the standard prices for tuktuk drivers after 15 years? When I heard this I was shocked and wanted to remind tourists it’s not always about the lowest price, there are families we support with our money.

I visited this historical site way back in mid 60s as a teenager before the long civil war erupted. It was a memorable and only memory lives on as most of them did not survive the horrific genocide in 70s. Be mindful and be kind whenever possible as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Enjoy your trip. Peace from a genocide survivor ✌️

You and Alan are very aware travelers. Too many "Content Creators" that don't respect the culture. Thank you for the comment on the tuk tuk drivers as well. Love this Cambodia series, though i might be biased. Bayoun is def my favorite, then Angkor thom and Angkor Wat.

I was there during low season it gets much worse. But if you wanted to visit with no crowds and didn't mind the heat you could go mid-day as most of the group tours would be over.

Hello, Do you have plans of coming to Peru ? Food here is very good . Also Digital Nomad for tourist for 1 year + extension for another year
@ayngelina7 ай бұрын
I would LOVE to come to Peru, I hope soon. I first visited in 2011 and stayed for 3 months and loved it. Alan can get a visa too which is a huge bonus. Our challenge is finding a flight for him that doesn't go through the United States as he's Indonesian and can't get a transit visa for the US - as you know as a Peruvian no es facil. But we have been talking about this so stay tuned as I'd really like to return to Latin America and show him how wonderful it is.

I wonder what the story in the carvings of those each temples mean, such as why did they believe or worship those deities. I still think there were technological advanced reptilians who helped the ancient human civilizations.

If you take a tour they explain it all. But I knew if I got started with some of those details it would turn into a 10 hour video!
