Not because you visit or praising Cambodian dish, but the way you communicate your comments and speech is very respectful and well demonstrated. Your channel deserves more subscribers.

Thank you for the kind words. I learned so much in the previous Khmer traditional food video with CT where we ate more unusual traditional food like the grilled frog and baby bees but we also had a great conversation about Khmer food and why it shouldn’t be compared to others. I think it has really great qualities that people don’t realize because they are comparing it to Thai food.

It’s refreshing to see a travel video on Cambodia and its cuisine from a perspective other than that of a backpacker’s.

I really love traditional food in markets but even I’m aware that sometimes it makes people feel like a country is only markets and street food. So I appreciate this feedback as I think it’s important for me to also show that there are many sides to a city and country.

Glad you are enjoying beautiful Siem Reap. The Museum is well worth a visit, and just around the corner. The Cultural Park near the big ferris wheel is also interesting and fun.

Selemat Sore, A & A, Love the Cambodia series, esp Angkor Wat! Thanks 4 Grand Raffles, tuk-tuk driver & fish amok! Chicken is plentiful in the US while fish is so expensive! What is the name of fish? Take care.💙

Liz thank you for your generosity, you’re always so kind. You know with the fish I always ask but there are so many kinds that we don’t have in North America so unless I see it’s snapper or tuna it’s usually a variety I’ve never seen.

You're my new favorite travel youtuber now. Your comment on glass bottled water vs plastic sold me. It's the little things we can do! Anyways curious to which town you decided not to go to, was it sihanoukville?
@ayngelina7 ай бұрын
Thank you and I agree. Single use plastic is such an issue in South East Asia, it isn't recycled and ends up in the ocean. I try to avoid as much as I can but I really appreciate when hotels do...now only if we could deal with airline waste of every passenger getting plastic cups, cutlery and plates etc.

Yes he actually can pass in many countries. We've found that in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and the Philippines people always speak to them in the local language. In a way it's nice because it starts a good conversation when he says he's Indonesian.
Locals thought he was Cambodian but he’s Indonesian 😊

I’ve been to Mahob restaurant in January 2024. The foods there are absolutely delicious, I liked everything in the menu. Mostly foreigners eat at Mahob restaurant cuz it’s pricey. Also, The Palm Sugar restaurant is really really delicious, they serve brown rice which is so good. I love all the foods there as well,especially fish amok. Crispy spring rolls, and grilled eggplant was the bomb. Siem reap has a lot to offer in term of food. Love it. Thanks for sharing cuz most KZbinrs show street foods but not fancy places, I feel like they also need to show a nice places as well.

Thanks for the feedback on this. As I usually share traditional food it tends to be in more basic spots but this video taught me that I also need to show that countries have upscale options too 😊

Living like the colonial masters! The hotel looks like it might burn a hole in my pockets.
@ayngelina7 ай бұрын
You know I actually really love how they've transformed the place with artwork and photographs, which did not look great on video with reflections. But instead of historical photos and artwork from colonizers it was actually all of locals during that period at Angkor Wat. It was like the place was taken back and filled with the Khmer culture it deserved. And every day I did one of the free cultural experiences, which sadly I was the only person in the hotel to choose- but they were all really interesting as the hotel has its own historian. As for the price, I saw a number of group tours while I was there so I think it may be more affordable than you'd think.
A lot of Thai people are working in Cambodia and they’re come to do so many business too but we never said anything about it because we understand we are the neighbours
Comments from your country of Thailand are always like this. I am glad the aging population in your country will be to overwhelming to sustain and your birth rate is the lowest in SE Asia. Someday, we’ll see less thai in this world.
