The text REALLY helps. I downloaded the audio by itself, and I don't get nearly as much out of it as when I see the text on the screen. Thank you. The teacher has the most profoundly penetrating of minds.

At 23:05 Peikoff says he had already covered the question of how do you reconcile free will with the laws of causality and logic elsewhere. Can someone help me and point out where he went over this?

I'm not sure where he did it in this course but his "Objectivism: the Philosophy of Ayn Rand" has a section on the issue.

Some of what Spinoza asserted is being proposed by the multi verse view of physics.

How can there be a multi verse in a universe of universes ? Faux pas af.

This overview missed the essence of what Spinoza really endeavored to communicate. Spinoza wanted man to come to the knowledge of himself and of God or Nature through reason and intuition. Intuition being the highest level of knowledge. Without intuition it is impossible to understand Spinoza’s philosophy. Reason alone will not help. Spinoza understood that man is governed by the laws of nature; example, the law of necessity and the law of self-preservation explains that man does not have freewill. That man is influenced by what stimulates his desires and his emotional states are easily triggered. Freedom is to understand our emotions and the nature of God; happiness and blessedness follows.
