Went to Ayodhya this year, last march, lovely place, a truly sacred dham. as a westener myself and as my first time in india it was a little scary how the place was so heavily secured with so many armed men. then after some research i understood it was needed, all those soldiers are in fact defending the varnashrama dharma (dont confuse it with caste system), not simply the birthplace of Lord Ram... well.. i already miss india so much! i hope to come back soon! I came first to know about Ramayan when I visited Triveni, Nepal.. The place where Sita raised her kids , Luv and kush .. Still you can see water well, the pillar where they tied horse , old brick huts and some old monuments but unfortunately it’s not preserved well ..
