Offcourse this is scientific. In ancient times, when Rishis realized that humans don't like to see God within, because humans couldn't do bad things if they see God within. Then, Rishis built this science for human's need of God belief. This tradition expanded enormously on faith, emotion and in turn raises economy. And hence, in today's world we just left with cliches like... "Bhagwan to hamare bhitar hai" , "God lives in every hearts" etc etc.
