I remember going to jail (county jail so not the same thing) for a night and waking up when one of the inmates that I guess is a helper of some kind passed out our breakfast on trays and called “chow time!”. When I went up to go get mine he asked if I slept well. When I asked why, he said some dude that had been in our pod went crazy and started screaming all night that the people sleeping next to him started punching his lights out to get him to shut up and the guards had to take him (I didn’t hear it). Blah blah blah fast forward I ask how long he’s been in here and he says “only 6 months”. And all that could go through my head was “he’s been in here for 6 months surrounding by dudes in this mind numbingly boring hell hole while I’ve been making money, doing all sorts of illicit drugs, and getting domed by my girlfriend everyday in the free world. Might sound like a drama queen but when I got out the next day they gave me back my phone and clothes which was all I had on me and I burned the clothes and traded in my phone for a new one because I didn’t want any of that bad energy to follow me home.

This is Saint Quentin the 1980s. I promise it’s something jumps off a riot or anything like that. These guys will be the first to help. They won’t even hesitate to get over there and help. The horn blows you go. Trust me on that bro. At this time San Quentin and Folsom state penitentiary were extremely violent. This is right at at the time or right before the point system. I received my C47426 number in June and 1982. Went through both of these penitentiary. C47426. 1982-1991, H52940 life sentence on this one 1992-2013.

Around this time, China was trying to enter a bid to join the WTO. The first thing that the Chinese noticed when they visited a supermax was how much nutrition the inmates were given. It was so shocking to them that prisoners could have access to that much egg and meat which could not even be afforded to a normal, law abiding Chinese person. On the other hand, after the US officials visited Chinese prison, one of their recommendations was that prisoners get meat at least 3 times a week. Again, remember that a normal Chinese person would be lucky to have meat 1x a month at that time

I had a convict friend he never worked legs. It was always ready to fight, he kept a pair of illegal Mule Daddy work gloves. We went to the gym together for awhile, it was crazy how strong he got so quick. He got into a leg press machine line with big guys and you probably don't believe me but they finished with him pressing 26 45 lb plates. The last 2 big guys quit at 22 plates, all that from a guy 5ft 9 and probably 165 lbs. He went back to prison right away, a real nightmare guy , good looking and polite till any little dumb offence, terrible waste
