Remember, Arjen has many songs which are based on science fiction stories and themes. He creates really fun musical compositions. Floor does not sing on this one, but her sister Irene is part of the female backing singers. Arjen Anthony Lucassen is the genius who creates all of these musical creation, and under many different project names. I think you will love all of his music. They are so unique and melodically beautiful. All of the singers bring so much fun and amazing vocals to the songs. Hope to see much more from Ayreon and all of his other creations. Great reaction. It was exactly what occurred to me when I first saw this - just how much fun they are having. I saw an interview with Maggy and she said that she loves all of Ayreon, but thinks of this one as her song, and it shows in the performance. Brilliant stuff.

This song was inspired by the UK Science Fiction drama 'Blake's Seven' from the early 80's and is actually a Star One recording (another of Arjen Lucassen's projects). Intergalactic space crusaders is a song of the Star One album . it contains songs based on sci-fi shows and movies , interglactic space crusaders is based on the britisch sciencefiction show Blake 7 . The final song of this concert is called the Eye of Ra and that one is based on stargate . tons to discover and enjoy.

Peter Vink is a veteran. Already playing bass in 1965 he is in his 70s now. Other veterans are Thijs van Leer (on flute), a guy who has grown quite big. Also Edward Reekers who sings the Futureman in the Electric Castle

That base player is Peter Vink, he was with the 60-70 band Q65 and Finch. And the background singers are Irene Jansen (sister Floor), Marcela Bovio (Amazing singer), Lisette van den Berg (Amazing voice from the band Scarlet Stories)

The correct pronouncation of Ayreon is: Air-ee-on. Then, this is not an Ayreon song, but a Star One song. Not that it makes much difference, since both are creations of the same mastermind Arjen Anthony Lucassen. However, Star One is more about catchy guitar riffs and less about storytelling. That having said, Star One songs are all inspired by Science fiction movies and such. This song is based on an old TV series called Blake’s Seven.

Arjen Lucassen loves SciFi (would say "obsessed" 😉), so that is probably the reason why the titles of his songs often refer to space-stuff.

This song is based on Blake's 7 a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. Four 13-episode series were broadcast on BBC1 between 1978 and 1981.
