I've heard this song for so many years, but MAN, Roy Orbison's voice makes this song.

Is this a part of Sid Barrett’s mental health issues?Everyone is trying to find out what’s wrong. “Why won’t you talk to me?You never talk to me”

Hi, I just saw this reaction. I don't know who you both are and don't recognize your accent. It's irrelevant. It's clear you're both moved by music. That's what draws me in. How in the heck did you find this old classic? C'mon it's almost 40 years old. I personally remember it with much appreciation back in the day. It's lyrically and musically intriguing. Brilliant, actually. There are a few other songs of that era that carry this kind of vibe. Regardless-- enjoy your musical journey.

There is a feeling of spiritual pathos in their chord structure. I am moved by so many of their pieces without being able to understand what the core element is. There is no other band which has done what they have done.

You should listen to some solo John Waite music. Also, the Supergroup, Bad English, had John Waite on lead vocals, Jonathan Cain on keyboards (Was in Babys and then Journey), and Neal Schon on lead guitar (Journey). Their song “When I See You Smile”, was a #1 Smash Hit. “When I See You Smile”

I wouldn't have guessed it, but Ian Anderson was very keen to join the Moody Blues after their flautist passed away. Unfortunately for Ian, they'd selected a young lady the day before, but it really is difficult to imagine such a difference in styles. Then again, maybe it would have brilliant!

Beautiful song ❤ it reminds me of my youthful days of lying in the tall grass on my back, looking up to the sky, on a breezy day watching the trees sway and the clouds move along the wide patch of blue sky. Such a feel-good song. Thank you for your reaction. I knew you would love this song.

Welcome in the realm of DCD and Lisa Gerrard, the most incredible voice on this planet, imvho. I would suggest you to listen to Elizabeth Fraser with Cocteau Twins, another fantastic singer. - Road River and Rail - Fifty Fifty Clown ( BBC sessions ) Finally, if you want to be mesmerized, taste the voice of Siouxsie Sioux with Siouxsie and the Banshees: -Sin in my Heart ( Live at the Royal Albert Hall ) - Take Me Back Happy listening

Personally, I feel this song is the voice of Jesus Christ coming to me in my prayers telling me, no matter how rough life gets, HE WILL, like a bridge, get me over the tough spots.. troubled waters.. The 3rd verse he mentions a "Silver Girl, you're time has come".... She's an old woman with gray hair, she's dying and time for her to pass on to the other side.

Of course the songs are fantastic but Jackson also worked with the finest musicians, including Russ Kunkel on drums, Lee Sklar on bass and multi-instrumentalist David Lindley. It wouldn't sound like a Jackson Browne song without them.

Believe it or not, she started out in acting and singing wasn't a plan at all! She was so focused on getting a career as an actress started that singing wasn't even in the radar, at first. Than she opened up her mouth and kind of realized, "what are those sounds coming out?"!
