18:08 I listen to you about Thailand charges higher entrance fees for foreigners at historical sites than for Thai citizens. I really respect your mindset that you have a fair view on this issue because many foreign KZbinrs complain that they have to pay more expensive entrance fees than Thais. I think that Thai people deserve special privileges as citizens. We have the right to visit the places of our ancestors without pay for an entrance fee or cheaper than foreigners. As far as I have watched foreign KZbinrs channels, you are one of the people who has seriously express this opinion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for understanding the issue thoroughly. 😊🙏

You're welcome! Normally the prices we pay as guests in the country is fair pricing and we're happy to see that the local people get a better price to encourage them to explore their own country and heritage. This was the same in Costa Rica where we just lived for 7 years and it was nice to see the locals out enjoying their own country at a discounted price. This is one thing we had always said countries like Canada are missing. As we travel we will continue to express our belief in this system. Thanks for watching and we're glad you enjoyed the video. 😊🙏

So true! I’ve always been happy to pay international tourist rate + it’s tourists who are often visiting + creating wear + tear on parks, attractions + environment. So true, Canada should definitely be increasing international fees and giving locals a discount to encourage local tourism.

Aww man I plan to take my 3 kids and was hoping you brought your 2 boys + I could see how they fair + if they enjoy it 😅😂 but I’ll still watch you 2 and get some tips…And hope my kids do ok in the heat. 😅 Definitely planning to do the early train like u! And the booking ahead tuktuk is great idea…8hrs is long tho? 😅👌 Will watch now + see how u do!! 😊
@TheDufresnes18 күн бұрын
We only did 6 hours, for the 1200 you have him for up to 8 hours. We chose not to do the elephant or boating shich would have added 2 more hours. If you go early you avoid a lot of the heat. The kids would love it, ours already had plans with friends online so they decided to stay home

@@TheDufresnes You guys did well for 6 hrs, still a long day! I think 4hrs would be enough for my kids, just visit some of the temples. Were there lots of tuktuks waiting for hire at the train station?
@TheDufresnes18 күн бұрын
@bluestarfishsea ya that's the thing you can just see how it goes and how they do. There were others waiting but you'll pay more

I'm a history buff and so I've really enjoyed this video. I was wondering if all of those demolished or beheaded statues were a result of Burmese desecration, or of natural erosion over the centuries?
@TheDufresnes19 күн бұрын
Thanks, it's from the Burmese

Hmm the tuktuk driver didn’t offer to pick u up from train station? I feel like for 1200 thb that could be included 😅
@TheDufresnes18 күн бұрын
He didn't personally pick us up at the station for some reason but he had his friend pick us up to take us to the first temple where he then met us after. We didn't pay extra for the ride in the fortuner.

@@TheDufresnes ah thks for explaining, that’s fair 🙏👌

@bluestarfishsea ya, he just wasn't able to get to the station in time but still arranged someone to be there. Great service and highly recommended you book with him
