AZ - Croatian Glagolitic Murals

The Glagolitic script, as well as Glagolitic tradition, is a Croatian cultural phenomenon unique for its linguistic, graphic, ethnological, anthropological and semiotic characteristics. In 2014, following the decision of the Ministry of Culture, the Glagolitic script was inscribed into the list of intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia.
Creation of murals brings Glagolitic script closer to digital age. Jasna Horvat is the creator of glagolitic murals design and the author of AZ, a novel which directly influences further research into cultural heritage.
The Faculty walls covered by Glagolitic script became a canvas for inscribing messages in this old Croatian script. Therewith, the Faculty interior became the biggest institutional space depicting Glagolitic script next to the Zagreb Cathedral. This focuses the audience's attention on philosophy and symblics of Croatian traditional script. It is a demonstration that Glagolitic script can be used for communication (in space) and that it can be implemented in non-linguistic professions successfully.
The Faculty murals are an example indicating that lost parts of Croatian identity can create new cultural and creative products.

The Croatian square version of the font looks better than, for example, the rounded Bulgarian font. Such square letters could be used for a spaceship from a movie about the future, and the Croatian version of the font would look very organic there.

Glagolitic writing is the historically known system of writing for all SLAVS not just Croations. This is a very misleading video and so is the title. It's quite upsetting actually.

Exactly. Glagolica is not unknown in Bulgaria and Russia, for example.

Ah thouse croats,they are just braging about coulture that isn't theirs to begin with.This is just fasad,so that theirs illigaly created culture can have 'legit' look.But when someone come with the statement that croatian glagoljica is actually russian or serbian altered alphabet,then croats will show theirs true racistic,hipocritical,antislavic,personality.So if croatians realy do care for their own history,and slavic identity,then they would never replace glagoljica with latin alphabet in the first place.

Jasmin Mis everyone is guilty. Croats have ditched Glagolica in favour of the Latin alphabet, Bulgars have ditched Glagolica in favour of the Greek alphabet, which they have modified and called Cyrillic.

I know,in matter of fact slavic oldest alphabet is srbica,that is found on xanthos monolith,and vinca culture pottery in neolithic period.So if you take a better look at xanthos monolith,you will notice manny letters similar to latin,and slavic alphabet.And the reason why they are all similar or indentical,is becouse all alphabets comes from slavic alphabet.So in order to change this truth,vatican and germany has started cultural war against slavic people,and hired greeks to invent 'slavic cirilica'.And by doing that they have counterfeited slavic history,so now it looks like we are youngest,and slowest developing etnic group.But the truth is,that etruscan alphabet is slavic alphabet,and that etruscan alphabet has been translated by russian professor V Chudinov,and that the name Etruscan literary means Here Russian,Eto Ruski,Etruscan.PS:Slavic people are ancestors of all european nations,and that was proven nine years ago with DNA research,historical research,and linguistic research.

@@jasminmis5207 etruscan is the english name,the original name for the etruscans was the Rassena people. If youre gonna lie to people atleast get it right. Not to mention everything else you said is a lie that can be disproven within a few minutes of research. Also Etruscan was never fully translated,its impossible to fully translate it because of how it is formed. If it helps the Etruscans were called the Turrhenoi by the greeks,that sounds nothing like Etruscan. Mate you literally took the english translation as the original name,just shows how unimformed you really are. Not to mention your english is atrocious jesus christ...
