You hit the nail on the head. I'm so disgusted by hearing Jamaicans talking about Chinese taking over Jamaica and the excuse is that Black Jamaicans can't afford to. If one can't open the supermarket, can 5 of us become partners? Can 10 of us, 50 , 500, 1000 or 15k of us partner on a business venture? Instead, a lot of Jamaicans sing the "victim' song and dance the 'victim' dance. Where are the Jamaican business owners who are marching and protesting for tax free breaks that the Chinese and other foreign new business owners get? We prefer to practice the crab in a barrel, bad mind university behaviours. Shame on us. We need to come together like other races do. Until then, we'll continue to be trodden on. We are told that Jamaica is such a terrible place and while we are leaving, the foreigners are running in, and we stand aside, look, cry and complain.

Very true , they shape it in their own image and their image is white. They tied Jamaica so tight to the British that no referendum can pull it apart. Jamaica needs 2 thirds of the votes to be a republic because they make that apart of the constitution, no Prime Minister in Jamaica ever gets 2 thirds of the vote. The only way they get 2 thirds of the vote is if the 2 parties agree on that’s impossible. The only way Jamaica can ever be a republic and untied itself from the British is if whoever is the prime minister goes rogue and suspends the constitution and immediately calls elections and makes it a stipulation that if he gets reelected then Jamaica is automatically a republic and free from the British. Look at all the other Caribbean islands, they were shaped by black people and they have multiple black skin men and women as their PM, Jamaican only ever had one dark skin man as PM. It’s impossible for a dark skin person to be prime minister in Jamaica unless sponsored by a powerful person like how PJ was sponsored by Michael Manley.

The motto “Out of many, One People” came to mind the first going to a mall in Mississauga. I will never forget being in the food court seeing so many different nationalities in one place. As I sat there, it was then I realized the motto was not true to its core as I would like to think.
