Deezer was born and raised in the United Kingdom but after enduring an abusive relationship she decided put her life in two bags and leave for Jamaica. She has called Jamaica her home for the past 4 years and hasn't look back. Our conversation was both rich and inspirational. Deezer gives some really great advice and insight on her transition to Jamaica. please enjoy our conversation

I personally had enough of the UK now. I left Jamaica to come to England and I am just grateful to say that I see it and CONQUER it so it is now full time for me to exist. I only have a few lose ends to tied up to make my way back a mi yard. Mi long fi hear the rain a fall pon di house top and long fi feel the early morning dew pon mi foot. Long fi hear cock a crow, jackass a bray and wake up to the lovely sunshine. Jamaica, I only leave you for a while fi go get back the wealth that the British sold from us. Now I am proud to say that I am a true Jamaica because I certainly achieved what I set out to do many years ago. Jamaica, you better make way fi me return. Lol

I left JA for NY forty years ago but I visited quite often. Eight years ago I contemplated where to retire, it was either Florida or JA, I choose Montego Bay Jamaica. I recommend gated community for retirees. During COVID-19 lockdown, I was unable to visit for ten months and when did returned, I was very pleased to see my property the way I left it. I strongly recommend gated communities for retirees, especially for those who worry about safety.

Do it baby girl. I’m planning to move back too. I’m in the Uk & so many migrate here & settle in to the comfortable life (but at what cost really). To me, that isn’t our purpose- especially those that have lived in Jamaica & understand the struggles. We must repatriate back home & grow our economy, as opposed to building others’ lands (as if they haven’t stolen from us enough to do it on their own).

Jamaica is where I was born, migrated to the USA, worked hard but was always returning home visiting. Although there was so much negative things said about Jamaica that did not deterred me from wanting to retire there or to live there six months and in the US six Months for medical reasons. My question is if Jamaica was so bad why Foreigners are buying up the properties and moving there? It's a Ploy to discourage the Jamaicans from returning and investing in the land of our birth. My Motto is I was birth there and no one can deport me from there. Jamaicans Stand Strong . Dis Ah Fe We Country.

Keep in mind that the greedy PM and most of the government have sold out the island esp.to China so don't be surprised if there is an invasion like what is occurring in Ukraine. Also, because of the wickedness and shedding of innocent blood with no repentance, water will overtake most of the island until people get their priorities right and stop calling the PM their brogad. People need to look below the surface and dare to wake up.

This is my first time watching this channel. I find it very enlightening. I have always wanted to I retire in Jamaica, the country that I love. I was born in a small village which still has my heart. I have lived in the US for over 50 years. I have not visited frequently. I have a vision of moving back but I have been afraid because of all the negative stories coming out of jamaica. Watching you has really reignited that flame. Thank you so much. Continued success to you and your guest. Grateful that I found you! Cheerio!
