Pro tip: Every time you go to the fuel desk at a truck stop ask for a few of each check (Comcheck, EFS, etc.), and they will give them to you for free. It is a smart idea to always have some on hand.

Love your channel, I grew up with two brothers. I’m the middle child to, it’s funny how we always had to fend for ourselves so much more. My dad drove transport starting in the 50’s in Canada up to the early 80’s. He also drove the transport chapel for Transport for Christ. I didn’t follow his footsteps driving but have always loved the big rigs. My first ride was at 5 years old in a cabover, so cool seeing people resurrect them.

Do people think that having to hire and pay lumpers is a good idea or not? I ask because where I live we don't have lumpers like you do. If your load shifts or falls over its the drivers responsibility to fix the problem even if it makes hand bombing your load on to other skids or whatvever. The worst part for me is having to stretch wrap the loaded skid. I get so dizzy walking in a circle like that.

I know it's half year ago, but over and over (when you're sort of lost) I wonder: "don't you have truck GPS ?? It will not send you under low bridges and also... you can see EXACTLY where you are on the map. Just wondering. God bless, love you're video's, seeing many familiar roads (from the past).
@Fetidaf2 жыл бұрын
We do use GPS, the problem is that it’s wrong pretty often. I’ve never had it send me under a low bridge (except once) but there are a lot of times it’ll try to get me to go down a road I can not go down. I also need to use it in conjunction with my phone to use street view and satellite view to actually get the right address since probably 50% of the time the address of the place I’m actually supposed to be is either nowhere near or atleast down the street a bit of where the address actually is. It’s generally somewhat okay to get you in the area of where you’re going but it will seldom lead you right to the gate safely
