I believe it's just missing an audible alert or something on the dashcam screen constantly until it is displayed alerting that we have a parking recording. Because if there is a day when you don't have time to take a walk around the car. The event goes unnoticed.

You can do the install, but I personally used a professional shop for 2 reasons. One I wanted the work to look good and 2nd it’s a brand new 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid sport very happy with the work for $250.00

@@davidkyle6463 I went to a shop to have the installation done for the same 2 reasons that you mention, I wanted a good and clean installation and I still have my car financed and I didn't want them to cut any of the car's original cables, when I went I explained that and they told me They were professionals and the first thing they did was cut the car's wires to connect the ground wire. I realized this because when I got home I started to check the installation and found that, and the guy connected the fuses to the computer fuse and The other something like a 4×4 system, 2 months later the car started saying 4×4 system error, visit your dealer. I paid $284 and I currently have the camera disconnected because of the error code and because it drained my battery and I couldn't start it more than twice. Now I think it was a bad investment.

Regarding the firmware updarte, I usually don't recommend updating the firmware unless directed by tech support to do so or if you are willing to accept the the risks involved with updating it. If something goes wrong during the upgrade, you can potentially turn your dash cam into a brick (it has even happened to me). Firmware updates for dash cams are not like the App updates we get on our phones (where we are constantly updating it). I would be extremely careful if attempting this. Cheers!

Ah I would start by checking the memory card is fast enough, some dash cams are very picky about the SD card write speed (and some even the brand) here is the card I use on mine amzn.to/3qFEMOl (make sure it is formatted using the Format option inside the dash cam). Ah yes regarding using a power pack instead of hardwire kit, I have not tested myself since I actually prefer a normal cigarette lighter adapter or hardwire kit since here in California we experience really hot temperatures which I would not want to subject the Li-ion battery to, that and the potential for a run away event (fire) during charging or discharging inside the car. Here is an example of a internal dash cam battery and what the sun did to it kzbin.info/www/bejne/foibm6SYocSUr7c That being said I know some people do use them for their dash cams, so It may make sense to review one in the future for those that really want to stick to a battery. Hi Kashif! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the 70mai so I can comment on it's performance but yes that is a good question I get often. I think the best dash cam depends on what you are looking for in a dash cam. I run different ones on my cars so what I usually tell people looking for the right dash cam for them is to start by picking the style of dash cam (Mirror or classic stick). Then how many cameras does it need to have (1, 2 or 3). Now that you have narrowed your selections, consider how much you want to spend on one, that will narrow your choices even further. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° video, Backup to SSD, BSD Support, Side Camera, Wi-Fi, Parking monitor without hardwire, cloud support, High Frame Rate. Finally you would want to compare video quality (I have several dashcam reviews on my channel under the playlist "dashcams" if you like to compare). I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, stay tuned, Cheers!

Unfortunately I have not tested Vantrue dash cams yet so I can't comment on their performance but they are on my list eventually we will get to them (it's a very long list LOL) The only thing I can share if the feedback that I gotten from professional installers, is that they feel they are overpriced for what they are, basically that they just invested heavily in marketing which is why their name is more prominent but again that I just what I heard, I don't know how true that is, once actually review one I will update this comment for you. Hi Ha! To test the parking mode, what I do is I turn off the car but stay inside of it. I then wait a few minutes (some dash cams have a built in delay before park mode becomes active to give you time to exit the car) then I just tap the dash cam with my hand and that should trigger the recording (if Collision Detection parking Mode is turned on and the dash cam is correctly hardwire with the Azdome hardwire kit). In Park Monitor, there are 3 options for the Azdome M550 Dash Cam: 1. Time Lapse Parking Mode 2. Motion Detection Parking Mode 3. Collision Detection Parking Mode • When I click one, the other goes off. • All 3 can’t be on at the same time, is that right? • Which one should be on when driving? • Which one should be on if I’m not in the car and someone hits it in a parking lot? • Do you have to change to another Parking mode if you’re not driving? Hi Jim! Correct, you can only select one type of parking mode (this does not affect how the dash cam records when driving it only affects park mode) Regarding which to use, it's more of a personal preference, Time Lapse does exactly that, it creates a Time Lapse, Motion only records when movement is detected (visually) and Collision detection records when there is a physical impact detected. If you still have trouble deciding which mode to use, what I usually tell people is to experiment with each one to see which mode works best for them. Cheers!

Hi Jim! Correct, it should since the G-Sensor remains active even when using Time Lapse or Motion Detection (assuming the impact is strong enough to trigger the G Sensor). The main difference is that on Time Laps, the video of the incident will be recorded on a Time Lapse and on Motion Detection, the impact triggers the dash cam to record a 1 min continuous video then returns to Motion Detection Mode. Hi Kim! It's possible the dash cam is on it's way out or the power supply it's on it's way out. The easiest way to check for this is to connect the dash cam to know good working power supply (either hardwired or cigarette plug style) to confirm if the issue is with the dash cam or with the power supply. Hi Michael! I do not recommend turning off Loop Recording as loop recording is meant to allow the dash cam to record continuously all the time to ensure you always have a record (while overwriting old videos once the memory card gets full). However if you still want to turn it off, it may be possible under Loop recording setting it to "Off". However remember that turning off loop recording can still produce segmented files as the video files have a maximum possible size. So I would experiment with different resolutions to increase or decrease the video length on each file. Cheers!

Hi Kqu! There is no option on the menu to flip the interior camera, sounds like you may have a defective one. I would recommend contacting Azdome for help, hopefully you will have better luck than me as far as getting a hold of them I have not been able to do so ugh (My Azdome dash cam has started to malfunction, video on this coming) And please keep us posted on your findings. @@AlexAutoFun hey! So I never played around with the dashcam when I got it. Set the date and time and I was all set. I never had any close calls or accidents so far so I never really had to check the videos. Turns out, all I needed to do was check the box for the rear camera mirror in the settings. The cabin camera also automatically flipped. My bad.

HI Madrid! Correct, Wifi enabled dash cams do not let you see a live or track the car remotely. My m550 pro doesn't have all those video resolution selections. It only has 2560x1640 or 1920x1080. There are no options for resolution choices for 1 camera vs 3. There's is no wdr option. No exposure option. No motion detection mode. I don't understand the timezone settings. The options are GMT-00 all the way up GMT-12. What does that even mean? I live in Florida. There is no options for my timezone. Obviously the M550 and the M550 pro are different beasts altogether. The menues are not the same. Also during playback, mine makes an annoying crackling sound. What is that? The video quality seems good so far though. Thanks for any answers to my issues, if anyone can help.

Hi Borg! Unfortunately I have not tested the M550 Pro so I can't comment on it's features. I would recommend contacting Azdome for help, hopefully you will have better luck than me as far as getting a hold of them I have not been able to do so ugh (My Azdome dash cam has started to malfunction, video on this coming) Cheers!

Hi Comunitatea Wordpress! Correct, Wifi enabled dash cams will turn off the Wifi every time the Dash cam is turned off, they are not designed to work as a cloud dash cam like the one I linked on my previous comment. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi Chris! There is no verification code required. To connect to the app you connect to the dash cam's wifi (make sure WiFi is enabled and the correct password shown on the dash cam is used). Also, take a look at your owners manual, it also shows how to connect the dash cam if you are still unsure on how to connect to it and if you need additional help you can always contact Azdome for support, they can probably walk you thru connecting to the dash cam wifi. Hi Chris! That is very strange, if you take a look at the manual (page 21 if I remember correctly) it shows how to connect and makes not mention of email or verification code. I would check that the correct App was downloaded, that being said maybe something was recently changed? That is strange, it should not do that (the dash cam does not interact or connect to the radio) I would have the installer confirm that it was would have the installer confirm that everything has been installed correctly (and that the correct components where installed, I seen cases where installers have mixed up components by accident). And if you want to skip your installer, you can contact Azdome for tech support, they may be able to walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. Cheers!

I got this dash cam. I set it up loop recording for 3 minutes but it has problem. It records for different times like 16 seconds sometimes 1 min sometime 1 min 32 sec. It doesn’t matter what is loop recording. I talked to azdome office. They suggested me to change the SD card. I got a new sd card it worked well just for 2 days and then same problem occurred 😢. Not satisfied with this dashcam.

Correct I would recommend checking the memory card, dash cams are very picky and will show recording errors when using a memory card that is not fast enough, authentic and in a few rare cases a specific brand crazy uh! Hi H H! Yes dash cams normally run a warm to hot (and very hot if running it in 4K). And while I had not had any of them catch fire yet, if you are looking to reduce their temperature here are some suggestions. Reduce resolution (lower resolutions produce less heat), reduce bit rate (some dash cams will let you change it) and finally enable screen saver (screen time out) which will turn of the display after a period of time but will continue recording (the screen itself generates heat). You're welcome Colin! Ah if you need to manually lock/flag a section of the video, that can be done by long pressing the Arrow up button (about 2 seconds). And the rest of the buttons are mapped out in the manual, page 12 if remember correctly. Cheers!
