New adventure, visiting the most incredible spots in Baku and surroundings. On this occasion, the archaeological park of GOBUSTÁN, with the very strange mud volcanoes, not lava, its petroglyphs engraved in the rock more than 40,000 years ago, and the ultra-modern Heydar Aliyev cultural center, by the architect Zada Hadid, with some impossible shapes and surrounded by the Soviet/Persian architecture that characterizes Baku.
A country that was part of the Silk Road, the Ottoman Empire, the Persian Empire, the Soviet Union, etc. It can only have behind it a fascinating history of conflicts, territorial struggles, rebellions and wars that have led it to what it is today.
Join me in the following weeks on this intense trip, making it today one of the countries that has surprised me the most of the more than 40 that I have visited!
