Ever wondered what lies beyond the clichés about Iran?
Iran is a country with rich culture and diversity, often misunderstood by stereotypes. It's better to see Iran with an open mind, beyond misconceptions.
Many people outside Iran think all Iranians are religious extremists.
Another misconception is that women are forced to wear strict hijab with no freedom in their dress.
Some think Iran is a backward, underdeveloped country.
Contrary to this belief, Iran has modern and advanced infrastructure.
I suggest you watch this video, maybe it will change your perception about Iran.

The mullas as you call them, with all their shortcomings, have been able to protect Iran's sovereignty and indepence and have lifted Iran from being a third world country into what you see in the clip. Yes there are aspects that people don't like, but overall, their positive aspects are more pronounced than their negative side. Forty six years after the revolution, Iran is a very highly industrialized country with a robust economy that has been able to withstand the harshest sanctions from the world bullies. Infrastructure in Iran is now almost next to none in this region. We have the biggest domestic gas distribution network in the world where even remote villages have piped gas in their homes. Road networks is quite extensive millage wise but quality wise it is below par. The remotest villages in Iran have piped water and electricity. You can check all these on the internet. The military industrial complex is staggering and we have sent animals to outer space and returned them safely. We have sattelites in orbit right at this moment. And all this has been achieved without any help from outside because we have been under sanctions from the morning after the revolution. So don't believe the garbage that they feed you about the mullas every day every hour every second. Having this Islamic system was the choice of the people in 1978. But of course I can understand that the new post revolution generation doesn't appreciate any of this and thinks that everything has been achieved automatically and out of the blue. They haven't seen the Shah's time when Iran was a backward country and a puppet of the west and had to even import things like pencils or nails etc. So think before you repeat western propaganda. Don't get me wrong, Iran isn't the garden of eden but it isn't the hell that the west constantly portrays either.
