Azerbaijan clarinet (klarnet) mugham Bayati Shiraz performed by master Karo Charchoghlyan

This recording was presented to me in Yerevan, Armenia. Probably recorded in the 40's or 50's. Unique in his presentation, Karo was, and still is, the TRUE master kafkaz clarinet player of all time......Carlito, thank you for the pictures of Karo and understanding that this beautiful music, regardless who performs it (Armenian or Azerbaijani), is all good. Each side has made their contribution to a fabulous art that exists in the Caucasus.... Thanks! Mugam Bayati (Arose Naghmeh). It is part of Bayati Isfahan, but is unfortunately lost in Persian dastgah, and is only survived in Azerbaijan and Armenia. For thousands of years Azeri and Armani have lived in peace and harmony, and in fact thanks to the close contact, and the fact that most of Azeri music performers have been Armenian musicians living in Azerbaijan and performing specially in Azeri weddings, Armenian musician have influenced Azeri music’s evolution throughout the history.

Sorry but mugham is not in armenia. Their music infulenced by Azerbaijanis. He is armenian who was born in Baku, that's why he performed mugham. Thanks.

I'm sorry but my relative knew him and can attest that's him. Azeri's don't want to admit that an Armenian can play mugam better than them....and if you read below, I stated that an accomplished Azeri Clarinet player's son send me the picture I have posted. Growing up, his father listened to and continues to listen to Karo. He was the best of the best....too bad you can't admit the truth. I know who Askerov is and can tell you that this recording is not him.....

I just searched and listened to Eskerov. They sound very similar, however, they have different technique and different attack on the instrument. If you really want to prove it to yourself, go ask HACI HEMIDOGLU..One of your better clarinet players in Baku.....Go ask him.....Then you can talk.....you know nothing For every Armenian accomplishment, Azeri's try to fight it....you are all losers...give credit where it is due...

That was given to me by the son of an very accomplished Azeri Muslim clarinet player.....Even he listened and continues to listen to Karo. I agree with you that Armenian singers cannot sing mugam, however, Armenian musicians are in a very different class, especially in the woodwinds (Clarinet, Duduk, Zourna, Toutak, Chevi Etc) That tape I have posted is Karo...I am so sorry to tell you that..

Это Каро ....царство ему небесное .Армянин с Грузии. Переехал в Баку и и и и .не хочу быть .. Маэстро Ниязи .очень уважал его исполнение .....скажу больше мой отец был много лет шофером и правой рукой маэстро Ниязи Узеир Гаджибеков..и . В бильгя у него надаче много было прекрасных дней ...как же нас поссорили и надолго ..а музыка у нас почти одна.

I just searched him and listened to one of Esgerov's recordings. They do have similarities, however, their attack on the clarinet is different. They have a slightly different style...Their are many recordings of Karo on you tube and you are trying to say that all of them are Esgerov? haha! In one of them you can even hear the Armenian language in the background If you want to convince yourself, go ask HACI HEMIDOGLU. He is one of the top clarinet players in Baku...ask him...he wouldn't lie
