Azerbaijan the land of oil - From Sochi to Yerevan (2014)

Azerbaijan is doing very well, and that has everything to do with the the fact that the country is rich with large amounts of oil and gas. It was one of the first centers of the oil industry in the world at the end of the 19th century, and now the country is going through a new oil boom. Jelle goes out with an eccentric billionaire, takes a bath in crude oil, and dives into the rich past of the capital Baku.

Jelle Brandt Corstius goes looking for answers in The Mountains Behind Sochi. In this six-episode series he travels from Sochi in Russia through the Caucasus.
