Chechens in Pankisi - From Sochi to Yerevan (2014)

Chechens live in the north of Georgia, in the Pankisi gorge. They fled during the Chechen war, on the other side of the border in Russia. Now they are a people without a country. To increase the drama, all Chechens have been deported once, in 1944. We speak to survivors of the deportation. Some young people radicalize, go to Syria or blow themselves up in Russia. Others try to stick to Chechen traditions and still dream of independence.

Jelle Brandt Corstius goes looking for answers in The Mountains Behind Sochi. In this six-episode series he travels from Sochi in Russia through the Caucasus. Far from political power games and war intrigues, he visits remote mountain villages and meets proud peoples with a strong desire to be independent.

Грузинский народ и жители Панкиского ущелья приняли нас и приютили население Панкиси в 1999-2000 год было 16-17 тысяч и в 2000 году резко выросло до 110 тысяч. мы выражаем благодарность всему Грузинскому народу и коренным жителям Панкиси! Drugoi Kavkaz...Оц гуьржеш йукъе дик берш бу,ам дукх берш шалхо йолш бу..ч1ог1 хиле долш бу уьш..Сон цар дин х1ум дац,ама вай ч1ог1 ца дез царн..Шай де хилч мегар йолш х1умш яц уьш....Вся Грузия от мала до велика была против того чтобы 9 тысяч чеченцев-беженцев зашли в Панкисси..Это Шеварнадзе их запустил для того что бы использовать в своих интересах..Он так и сделал..Шеварнадзе и в Абхазию чеченцев отправлял на военную вылазку ,и своих политических противников пугал чеченцами..и российским спецслужбам выдавал..как и Саакашвили../..Чеченских беженцев кормили Арабские,турецкие и некоторые Европейские гуманитарные организации и львиная часть этой гуманитарной помощи оседала в грузинских карманах и желудках..А через пару лет когда гуманитарные программы были свёрнуты то грузины резко начали выдавливать чеченцев из Грузии....По сегодняшний день грузины используют и подставляют чеченцев..а потом каркают что борются с международным терроризмом..

Я согласен с автором этих строк кроме одной (Drugoi Kavkaz) Никогда Чеченских беженцев, покинувшие свои дома во время 2-х воин, находящиеся в Панкисии не превышало 10-тысяч человек. Может в свою выгоду Х.Алдамов и написал такое количество, но это не правда. Ему это было тогда выгодно, а как только у него закончился источник финансирования, он сразу же переметнулся к Кадырову. В качестве журналиста и правозащитника я тогда там находился в течении 5 лет. А на данный момент там находятся в пределах 500-600 человек наших беженцев и не больше!
