Azeroth Autopilot remains the best fast leveling guide addon for World of Warcraft (Retail version). In this video I'll show you my way to install and configure it, as well as the basic example of how you could use it for your leveling needs!

Hey All, For those wondering how to get that "Zone" window up... In the chat box, type "/aap" and then in the API on the "Quest Options" tab, select the box "Show QuestOrderList". That will bring it up :) Hope this helps!

If you closed the Zone window and want it back: click ESC > Addons > disable autopilot > reload UI, then back to ESC > Addons > enable autopilot > reload UI.

It isn't like it is a huge deal, I figure I am doing something wrong, but it is wow so this is taking an easy game and just making it easier lol. I might mess with it again later, we'll see.

Hi, thx for this video :) I probably have silly question... Cause Im totaly new to WoW. Im 20 lvl, just bought 1 month subscription. Trying to folow this autopilot to npc called "Chromie" but I can't take any task from it :( Any ideas what problem could it be? BR, Dan

Hi Dan, welcome to the club mate. Good question, but hard to tell exactly what's wrong there - let's try anyway: 1 - As a new player, have you finished starter experience "Exiles Reach" 1-10 zone? 2 - I understand all new players have to complete that, and then you should be given a quest that leads you to the central city board that should direct your further questing path, OR you'd get a popup quest in the game that tells you who wants to see you next. As I'm not brand new, I can't really confirm this 100%... 3 - What exactly does Chromie tell you? I.e. what does the text say? If she can't talk to you or let you choose the expansion to level in further, then I GUESS she'd tell you at least where to go and why she won't talk to you.

She is just telling some rubish like "Time works in mysterious way..." and I can press only "Goodbye" button. Edit: Oh, one more thing. Probably not imporant and I don't if it's because of this addon but above the NPC I can white skull :-D Edit 2: Now I see that this "Exiles Reach" it is on Shadowland edition (www.wowhead.com/guides/exiles-reach-walkthroughs-analysis#part-10-the-darkmaul-citadel-dungeon) But from what I member I did some of it - "Saving family" but not all of it. Sorry for this chaos :)

​@@GyrotexGaming Hi there again :) So some small update :) I've created new char and did all quests that autopilot was telling me, except one: "Killclaw the Terrible". Also there is a bug when you are entering Orgrimmar you need to turn off autopilot to take quest otherwise it's taking it and abandoning right away. Anyway, so I did few quest in town shown autopilot and finally it pointed Chromie again so I walked there and I have the same issue :( no quest from here just some talking... So I'm wondering if that only one quest (btwI think it's additional??) made taking next tasks from Chromie unavailable or is it because I didn't bougt the Shadowlands update (just wondering) BR, Dan

@@GyrotexGaming Like you, I've been playing WoW for many years. I prefer to install with Twitch (formerly Curse), but your method of keeping things simple is completely legit. AAP malfunctioned on me on the first try. I had a character already at 73 in Northrend. AAP couldn't get over the fact that I'd already completed the first two quests coming over on the boat. The waypoint and dots kept directing me back to the flight master for turn in... I turned those in at 70 already, then skipped to Sholazar Basin. Silly AutoPilot! I hate Borean Tundra anyway! Those flying face suckers give me the creeps. I'm a smooth 80 now and will try again in Pandaria. 🤣 Thanks again... I should have tried your quest skip tip, but something went entirely haywire.

@@TalTesla yeah /aap skip should have worked, I think... I know what you mean, it does get confused with waypoints a lot, and then I have to - skip skip skip - a few times, otherwise it sometimes shows the "quest not found" error. It's a bit buggy overall, but helpful nevertheless, so I'd still recommend it to people trying to optimise their leveling runs.

Does this addon take you to dungeons too or is it for people that only want to level by doing quests?

It doesn't take you to dungeons, it only shows you the best path through quests in the zone, and once you've reached the right level - it tells you to go to a new zone.

@@Filtroox Always welcome! Dungeon advice would be something "on top" of what you'd expect from this addon. I might be wrong, but it does include occasional "notes" that suggest that you consider running a dungeon "around this time" (or area you're in). But it's not one of the features you'd expect to rely on always. I suggest that you accompany your reliance on the addon with some basic research. Generally, I'd do each dungeon ONCE, and when I've finished questing in a zone to get a big meaty XP quest for the area dungeon. Then it's usually worth your time queuing, going through it, etc.

I know i shouldnt stress about leveling gear (because it makes sense that only endgame gear matters) but where should i look foward to be update with the best leveling gear through the levels or where will i get the best gear while leveling? Not sure how to help here mate, but try the following: 1 - disable other addons, see if it works? 2 - update TomTom addon, not just the Azeroth Autopilot (having the latest available version, I assume, would be an obvious first step here) 3 - try and go to the folder /World of Warcraft/_retail_/WTF/Account//SavedVariables and RENAME (don't delete, in case you need to revert) the /AAP-Core.lua file to something else (making the game think it was deleted). See what happens?

Good question mate, and I don't really know - you'll have to try and see if it works - but my guess is that you'd probably be either okay with the addon as-is, OR you could browse CurseForge addon page and see if there are older versions of the addon (archive perhaps?) available there for the versions of the game before current one.

Not quite sure I understood the question mate, what do you mean? leveling paths? AAP has always had it as predetermined way, i.e. you can't pick one - they've already picked "the optimal one" for us. Which I also struggle with and wish there was a way to pick manually.

@@GyrotexGaming I see. Last time I played I followed Auto Pilot BfA and I went back to wow some days ago and the auto path is gone. Also, the mod is not pickung up the best questline for me. I have to do it for myself. As soon as I went for the first WoD Quest, nothing happend. When I did custom it worked.

Yo guys, anyone knows how to deactivate the "collect treasures" part? Is so annoying when in the middle of the lvling, the addon tells me to enter in a cave and take a treasure. I wanna skip that path, and i dont know how. and until I get the treasure (some of them are hard to find), it doesnt change to another quest or anything.

Not sure if you can deactivate, as the addon works off a linear list of things we're supposed to be doing. I don't think it's smart like that (but it should be!). Unless someone else knows a trick as I'm certainly not an expert with it.

@@Zerck yes I've mentioned /aap skip in this video, and that's the only way to jump over stuff yoiu don't want to do, like set your hearthstone. I thought you were after deactivating treasures along the whole leveling journey so you don't have to /skip.

Just macro /aap skip command mate, and press the button every time it tells you to do something you don't want to. It's a bit linear/dumb like that, so it probably points you to go there to learn flying when it thinks you need to. I often skip things like that, e.g. when it says to go bind your hearthstone to a specific inn - I never do that...

Hi mate I wish I could help you but I haven't dealt with the Classic version of AAP. The only couple of things I can recommend are: 1) make sure you use the Classic version of AAP, not accidentally just the retail one like I do... and 2). Check out their Classic page on CurseForge (here you go - www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/azeroth-auto-pilot-classic) and read the details that should tell you what limitations exist due to the game client. This way you'll know what is meant to be this way, and what might be actually broken.

hey, have you tried /aap skip command? Sometimes you need to macro it (to make things easier) and press the button a few times, as it needs to jump over a few internal steps that we don't see as the addon users. I've also heard of another command I HAVE NOT tested myself, so I can't tell you if it'll help, but you could try - /aap skipcamp

1. check that you have the latest version, 2. if the arrow is still not showing, try and also download addon TomTom. I'm not 100% sure, but AAP might be relying on TomTom to project coordinates and the arrow.

Sorry to hear that mate. One thing I could recommend is that you deleted any old autopilot folders from the wow interface addons, then install twitch client and reinstall the addon using that method. There could be changes in not aware of, and the client might be getting dependencies that make new version of the addon work? Just a guess - I haven't updated mine and mine still works fine.

Not sure if they've released a new version, check curse forge website. If the version is still out of date, just go into Addons menu and tick the checkbox "load out of date addons" and it should work

Have you checked the "load out of date addons" checkbox? If not, do that. If yes, what exactly isn't working for you? My addon is working fine, I level new alts all the time... There are occasional waypoint bugs but that's about it.
