CAUGHT MISBEHAVING: Parking permit patrol are all volunteers

We have homeless living in their vehicles taking up spaces at our 24 Hour Gym. The problem? They all have Disabled Placards and there are only 6 spaces. They use the gym to sleep, watch TV and shower. Today, one of them was in a space for 5 hours.

One of the biggest problems in the handicap area at my local Walmart is that MOTORCYLISTS park in the hashed areas designed for access ramps in the disability vehicles. They need to park in regular parking spaces just like everyone else!

Susan Cao usually I Almaty and any other stores let motorcycles park in front of the store on their sidewalk as long as it don’t block anyone way

Maybe the handicapped people should have less spaces so when they are full, they can park like everyone else. The amount of handicap spaces is honestly overkill anywhere you go now.

I’d rather there be more spaces for those who truly need it than extra close up spaces for those who can walk. I guarantee you are not disabled so shut up. You are just being lazy

California’s ticket for this is around what they pay. I wish it was more as a disabled person. LA did jack it up, but not many other cities did

I really dislike with all the money generated from the tickets those "volunteers" write and the fact that on some tickets they have to go to court over it, they should be paid. I understand that most are seniors and can only make a certain amount of money without it messing with their retirement but why can't we pay these guys if they are generating money?

I watched similar enforcement videos on CBC’s KZbin. The penalties there run from $300 to $5,000 Canadian! Wow.

@Stephen Sullivan The owner of the vehicle knows who was driving it. They gave authorization to any one who was. The vehicle is registered to ONE name. If not Suspend the REGISTRATION. PA suspends registrations for failure to have insurance for 1 year! They call them F Stops

The Us laws don't allowed government to sell your car from anyone law breakers the law only allows the car to be towed away to the impound lot and the has to pay money for the towing and storage fees that's how the law works.

Hey Stanley let's get real man in the Bay, parking enforcement doesn't go out of their way to give a chicken shit ticket for parking on the striped portion of handicap spaces? then again it's AZ. If the state was truly in tune to any vehicle enforcement laws they would have more DPS and local police patrol the freeways and surface streets to rake in more revenue. AZ is ten years behind the curve

Ron Goldman you need to get real here blocking the striped portion of a handicap spot is illegal it makes it harder for people in wheelchairs to get in and out of their vehicles don't be so selfish by blocking the striped portion of the handicap space if you can't learn to park legally in parking lots then you shouldn't be driving.
