I was in Banner Baywood in 2022. While in ICU, I do believe my care was good. However, after moving me out of ICU, I had a terrible time. Once, they were inserting a pic line and had the bed inverted (head down lower than the feet). They were called away and left me there for 39 minutes. No response from the call button even. By the time someone came, my bowels and bladder had released. They soon kicked me out to an assisted care facility that was not able to care for me. I had no PT and was unable to walk, even to the toilet. While the ICU staff saved my life, the rest of the stay and subsequent recovery was a nightmare.

@@TheMje1963also, same kind of care my mom experienced few weeks ago at Banner Desert. My gut instinct new, something was not right. Premature discharge, caused readmission having to go to ICU

Why are they allowed to continue after multiple issues? This is life and death.

They try to give chances because it’d cause a major breakdown of care for many patients aka there aren’t enough providers/hospitals willing to take CMS patients.

Wow. I gave birth here. Labor and delivery was amazing. The postpartum care though was pretty traumatizing. The nurses seemed overwhelmed and they were withholding ibuprofen from me. Thank god I only had to be there 24 hours after giving birth because I was ready to run out of that place.

I'm an ER RN and they have just strapped to the bare bones with few nurses for all of the patient visits we see. I must say the newer nurses are severely lacking for accountability with patient care. It will be interesting how Baywood snaps to attending by the deadline.

it's not just Banner Baywood, but it's also Banner Desert in Mesa, My mom damn near died in the ER waiting room. She was in the waiting room for 7 hours before they actually saw her and had to rush her into emergency surgery. All of Banner Hospitals and clinics suck. It's a mass corporate medical that is only thinking of their $$$

If you want a doctor that cares about helping people who are suffering - go to a third world country. If you want a doctor that cares about making the maximum amount of profits for his business - USA is the best.
@PsychiatricnerdАй бұрын
With that logic you could also go to Canada or the uk as a public payer and you’d be truly taken care of. As we know both systems are a living nightmare and you get what you pay for. Sure there are some greedy doctors but they don’t get paid unless they perform. Capitalism at its finest. The salaried docs at banner baywood have the incentive to do good enough to keep their jobs and not get sued. A license to protect. This report isn’t about the doctors care so much as inadequate staffing which contributes to a whole breakdown of systems and procedures resulting in poor patient care and outcomes.

Chino Valley Medical Center Hospital is wretched like this too. They released my grandmother to a skilled nursing a day after she was in ICU for suspected sepsis. Days later she was at ICU at another hospital and she died 6 days later. She was transported to the skilled nursing without oxygen, no IV fluids *after a dehydration event* on tramadol, water pills and a list of other meds that left her so out of it I couldn't carry a conversation with her when I could while she was in ICU. Her medical insurance-Medicare HMO-SNP Physician Assistant kept talking to us about hospice when she was just fine, and I think at the second hospital nothing real was done because someone said let her go, but told us they were doing this and that for her. She was not comfortable and moaning asking if she were going to die. This happened all while the ICU nurse at Pomona Valley Hospital complained about her having dementia. Like no. buddy. She didn't have dementia. Fucking hospitals shouldn't treat our loved ones like this. The young medical graduates and those left from the pandemic are psychos.
