One Thing I Like & Dislike about EVERY Killer in Dead by Daylight

Hey everyone. Today I’m going to say something I like and dislike about every single Dead by Daylight Killer. It can be about power, design, perks, lore, just about anything. Drop your thoughts down below as we go, and let’s get started.
At the time of this video's release Chapter 32 has been released - Dungeons & Dragons! The new killer is Vecna, the Survivor is a group of Bards with an elf and a human member. We also got a castle map!

TBF, the wiki indicates that Spirit was the most expensive original character for that reason. And they can't even code Nic Cage's killer specific lines to work with those specific killers (his lines mentioning Sadako and mocking Myers' chase music)

One thing I like about Clown is his sound design. The heaviness of his voice, his bottles, and the noises during his Mori all fit with how gross and diabolical he is. But yeah, his power is kinda boring. One thing I dislike about Dredge is how loud he is. His fleshy movement/locker placements can make him so easy to see coming at times. His chase music can be a bit much too but it's still great. Thank you for the video and have a restful Sunday. ❤

I love the marketing for it but also kinda hate it because it gives off a way different vibe than what it actually is. Which like I guess could be intentional but still i was excited for like an animalistic, science experiment type thing that runs around like a beast, instead I got "teehee, purple sneeze, go axe."

As a trickster main, I don’t like that survivor screams aren’t incorporated into his chase theme. That’s literally what his lore is about. I don’t know if such a feat would ever be possible, but I’d be amazing.

YES! Frank's Mixtape should be base and slightly nerfed. It's such a convenient ability. Instead it's effect should do something like: "Survivors within *16 meters* of The Legion scream and reveal their aura for *4 seconds* after The Legion preforms a *vault or break action* in Feral Frenzy." Keeping it faithful to the previous effect.

I think a feature of wraith that goes unnoticed is how versatile he is. He is good and can play well on all maps, unlike a killer like billy, and his various add ons changes up his ability and gives him many playstyles!

For the Lich it's so real. Like Vacna is in the DnD Lore not only a Lich (which is accievable for a great wizard), but one that ascendet to godhood. And even before he was the most powerful lich. Like one that in a rank of powerful magic users was the strongest and then became a god? For that giving him a base titel from one of his lowest accievements (becoming a lich) is a bit underselling him. I'd wish that for non DnD People he would seem more powerful from the Name rn as you said with his better titles. His Titles btw: Maimed Lord The Arch-Lich Master of the Spider Throne The Whispered One The Undying King Lord of the Rotted Tower The Chained God Maimed God Lord of the Hand and the Eye

As a Nemesis main I definitely agree the lack of nemesis felling like well nemesis, It would’ve been cool if they gave him 3-5 crates that give the nemesis a rocket launcher and survivors can lock so it takes longer for nemesis to grab one. (also there’d be like 3 or 4 rockets in the weapon)

Pig traps aren't a case of "random guesswork where the key will be", they're preset to take x attempts to remove. You can either get a 1 attempt trap, a 4 attempt trap, or anything between, depending on the other traps in play (all active traps add up to 12 attempts)

As a Dredge main, let me tell you the real best and worst parts of it: Best: Locker hopping is fun and allows you to zip around the map. Being able to occasionally grab survivors is icing on the cake. Worst: Too many maps screw over Dredge in terms of locker placement. Seriously, Behavior, Dredge is 2 years old and you have barely made any improvements to this! If locker placement is fixed, the worst would be the noise making stealth builds worthless.

Pig will always be one of my favorites due to her ambush ability and her traps. My core memory with her is letting a survive think I’m letting them escape and watching as the trap kills them when they’re about to exit the match

I enjoy the Knight’s lore, design, and pretty much everything else except for like he said, the inconsistency. It makes him un-fun to play against and even sometimes as. If they were to change it I think they could combine the current power to make the guards feel more like Nemesis zombies but keep them as something the player has to summon. I want his power to change but idk how or what to make it.

One thing I like about the Ghostface chapter. The fact they made his character original and his unique chasing running animation. Dislike would have to be the random revealing in certain situations. Trapper would be he is a dbd classic. A big dislike is how outdated he is now. Pig would be I like how they implemented movie references into her power. Dislike is again her rng can go against her. Skull merchant i like her drone design and the fact they buffed shelter woods (before it was one of the most killer sided maps) And a dislike is basically everything about her. Boring to play as and against. Lore. Design. Just.. ugh. Also I agree about Wesker. Its fr 1/4 of my games lol. But I like going against the higher skill ceiling type of killers because they feel far and few

I really wish Nemesis had a completely different power. There is really one of two ways Nemesis SHOULD have gone. Either his power should’ve been a sprint + rocket launcher with his mori being a tentacle, or his power should’ve been a sprint + tentacle with his mori being the rocket launcher. I think it was very important to implement all 3 of these elements, so it’s weird that they just did 1, and it wasn’t even implemented correctly as he never uses it as a whip.

I genuinely feel as though the Xenomorph lacks a soul if you will, simply because his power doesn't include face-huggers (FH). If they added an iri ovomoprh add-on that exchanged flamethrowers and tail for ovomoprhs spawning on the top of the tunnels he could access them while being in the tunnel turning into a third-person face-hugger, a mix between Victor and Chucky. But instead of taking a health state the FH would cause the blindness and oblivious status effect, but if injured it would also add the broken status effect until removed, which can only be done with another teammate. There can be 4 tokens with a reasonable cooldown in between unless the FH successfully attaches to them similar to the Legion it can immediately use another but from a different Ovomorph because each FH is connected to their assigned pod. If the FH misses it can be crushed but because of its acid blood, it would take a health state away giving some degree of threat but the Xeno has to wait until the cooldown is over. The trade-off is that the Xenomorph becomes an M1 killer. I think this would fix some of the issues with the Xenomorph in a way that doesn't completely scrap what we have now, it's like Hag Waterlog shoe where it completely changes the way she plays also adding an actual sense of value to an Iri add-on, unlike the many forgettable ones we have now.

The doctors add ons are actually not as hard to understand as it seems, basically for all of his "case files/Carter's notes" it has 2 main effects, the first one which is a buff to doctor in some way (increasing terror radius based on if static blast is ready or not, decreasing the cool down, etc.) and the second effect is on that affects survivors whenever they're afflicted with madness (i.e a fake red stain and terror radius or fake pallet illusions, his doctor hallucinations, etc.) and all of the rarity upgrades keep up the consistency of those effects but just being better, there are some add-ons that change his small shock wether through giving range or straight up changing it, and his iri king add on is just all of the madness effects when survivors are afflicted with madness, and iri queen just makes it so people can shock each other for one state of madness if they are closed enough when one of them gets shocked or has been shocked, I know his power is confusing but after you take a second and read, it helps a bunch. Also it helped me to kind of treat his add ons like yugioh cards lmao, with how much text they have.

As a Knight main, I kinda have to agree with the downside. Like, one game you’re able to get a 4k and felt like you used your guards really effectively, and the next they seem like they don’t help much at all. It can be especially confusing, as well, if you have the latter result but your success rate in getting survivors into hunts is high. Problem is, aside from making Map of the Realm (and maybe a few of his other addons?) basekit, I don’t really know how I’d go about a buff/nerf of him if I was a game designer. At least not without a rework. Maybe allow him to choose his guards, like how Vecna chooses his power? Although, I’m not sure the guard rotation is the problem, and even then that might make the two characters too similar. Overall, while it’s definitely not high on the list, I’d love to see some sort of TLC update with Knight, especially with a bunch of other killers getting them. Idk, it just feels like all of the other characters are all getting more and more polished, while Knight feels like he was released then forgotten

I have tried pinhead a couple of times but the chain is hard to aim with controller (waiting for cross progress to test it out with PC) I don't understand why pinhead is one of the most hated, honestly it sometimes feels like people just repeat opinions they hear and get some kind of mass hysteria over them. Pinhead is fine. Don't let their insults get under your skin, those people are NPCs

As a nemesis main i find it hard to find something i really dislike about him. I like pretty much everything about nemesis, gameplay wise and the way that he feels to play. Only thing that can be annoying is having to hit people 3 times to down, but thats not really an annoyance for me as it is in place to balance out one of the best anti loop powers in the game. People also complain about zombies being inconsistent but i feel like they can provide decent information, and with better pathing, i feel like they rarely ever get stuck or body block me. The biggest personal complaint i have is that he only has 1 skin other than his prestige skin. But outside of that i have no real complaints. Nemesis is my comfort killer that i play to have fun and play kind of laid back.

It's not the same at all 😂 having a fast killer come to you just to hit you once and sprint away forcing you to mend vs having a perk which saves you from tunneling or gives you ability to take one more hit. It's not about the meding state, It's how often it happens. You need to mend every time, you can't delay it like healing. It's frustrating how your teammates taking a hit will reveal where you are, and you might need to mend once again. It's just boring to be mending.

With 2 of the top 3 killers, they have a very high skill floor and ceiling. Blight has the 2nd or 3rd highest skill ceiling in the game, and Spirit requires being able to pinpoint sound, which not everyone may be good at

I’ve thought about a potential Crawling mechanic for The Unknown and this is what I have: Press and hold the 3rd power button to go into crawler mode. You retain your terror radius, but you have 20% haste. You cannot attack out of it, instead having to hold the 3rd power button again for a second to return to your original state. And if people really want, I think the killer’s pov should be flipped upside down, as The Unkown’s head twists in their Mori, with settings to remove it for motion sickness

The way to tell what trap box is yours for the pig traps is by the screws on the the side it's been a while but I think it's 3 screws for your trap or 4 I cannot remember

With the unknown, I think the intention was to have it be able to crawl. Most of the perks are for misdirection/stealth. Xenomorph was released 2 chapters before the unknown, that crawl mechanic would be horrifying with base kit unknown. Also, give Victor a tiny top hat or a little backwards snapback. That's all I want.

Something I always find funny about people complaining about the unknown is the fact that they’re mad it doesn’t have a feature they wanted instead of being mad about something it does have that’s actually bad. That would be like hating the Legion because they thought it was a mimic killer thanks to the trailer (which people did do btw). It’s not like with Freddy, where people hate it because his power is out of character and is genuinely awful. They hate the unknown because they thought he was going to have a power that was never implied. And before anyone says “wELl iT crAwlS In thE tRaIlErS anD iN tHE lOBBy”, let me remind you that Wesker whips out a long tentacle in the lobby (that sounds wrong) but he doesn’t have that as an attack in the game, does that mean I’m allowed to get upset because he doesn’t have a feature I wanted? Or that the Xenomorph descends from the ceiling in its lobby animation. But you don’t see me getting mad because it can’t climb on ceilings in game. As much as I love this game, its community can be pretty brain dead at times.

I think for Myers, survivors stalk meter should passively recharge. This would be a good buff for him but not game breaking.

I actually really like Freddy as is, enough to be my main. My biggest complaint would be both lack of cosmetics, and that most of his addons are kinda boring. Even the dream pallet ones are just "we playing pallet freddy now" Which sucks because dream pallets suck, gotta go like 8 games to get any value from it.

The best thing about the Legion should’ve been their chase music. It’s arguably the best and no one will convince me otherwise. Not to mention it can be altered with add-ons and you can create a bunch of different combinations. And the Iridescent Mixtape is heavily implied to have been made by the Entity herself.

I have to say this: Pinhead was one of my favorite Killers until his chain shot was broken and caused the camera to jerk forward. Which hasn’t been fixed in years. One of my favorite Killers to play, completely driven into the dirt.

I hate that a knight basically has to run certain add-ons just to make some use out of the guards. At least 4 metres extra detection radius should be basekit. Also the pallet breaking Guard is really janky. You can't really use him properly in chase

Pyramid Head - having what's essentially a projectile Blight - that horrible yellow filter when playing him Twins - I don't see them enough to form an opinion, i've seen them possibly 3 times in the close to 2 years i've played the game Trickster - Great lore, everything else is a bit meh Nemesis - slow and clunky are the best words to describe him, I wish he was slightly faster Pinhead - he has a second power if no one goes for the box Artist - cross map crows, she gets to scout the map without physically being there Sadako aka Sudoku - when i started playing it was condemned but now i don't see her enough to have an opinion Dredge - Nightfall, as Survivor you can barely see where your running to, also as a power in general it kinda sucks as Dredge is like a eldritch horror but all he does is make everything darker Wesker AKA Whiskers - he's perfect, perfect down to the last minute detail Knight - Knight who??? Skull Merchant AKA Daddy's little weebo - 3 gen camping, power is whack. Singularity - Singularity who??? Xenomorph - Alien players have literal tunnel vision Chucky - blessed with great perks Unknown - having 2 powers Hallucinations and bubble launcher Vecna - having 4 powers.

I agree with your assessments on each killer… my only thing is The Xenomorph. I agree that the tail attack is where it is bad, but I feel like it isnt overpowered, rather it is underpowered. I say this because every game I have played as it recently the tail attack is always dodged… even when I know it should have hit. Alien is one of my favorite franchises and I was ecstatic when they added the Xenomorph… but I feel like they nerfed it too hard when they reduced the size of the hit box to the point where it is too easy to counter.

I'm a Trickster main, a bad one it is, I have to agree with the power being so inconsistent. And thank you for mentioning that he is scarier than people might think at first. I have always said that even good looking people can kill and yet always get away with it, which is a bit the case with Trickster. I love Trickster and I will make a living hell out of everyone. You hate Trickster? I'll traumatize you for life 😂😂 I disagree about the cons for both Weskers and Skull Merchant. I face Weskers more than many mention here, all of them being toxic as fuck, and I get why people HATE Skull Merchant, yet I face her more than I face Twins or Freddy (I also get it why people hate Freddy, he's also one of my least favorite)

you know, after i watched this video, i tried singularity to see what it means to be a "difficult try hard machine" and let me tell one thing now after i played few games on it, IF you're a scp sl scp-079 mainer and can control the whole facility, then this killer will make you feel something that you missed in scp sl, ability to murder everyone with your own hands (unless youre a tesla spamer). O boi i enjoyed playing singularity, having only 3 gen to watch and properly set up cameras will make survivors go so mad that they might even just leave the game. If you're real 079 mainer, then you probably might have extra 1 or 2 generator successfully untouched. Also prepare for awful stuff in end game chat...

I agree with most of the positive points you made and disagree with some of the more negative ones. Twins are too easily countered and thus cannot win any matches unless the survivors don't know how to counter them. Ghostface I've only ever beaten when the player using him was new to using him or if Ghostface lets me win. Oni and Leatherface get bullied too much (especially when I play them). Clown is really hard to master. Nurse's fatigue is really annoying especially when I am within striking range of survivors.

I think the Shape is fine. Only issue is that he's really slow in the first two phases. Like, yeah, he walks just as fast as Trapper during that time, but good God is it awful to play. But if he was given the ability to keep his power throughout the match, let me stop you there. It's extremely easy for Myers to farm off solo queue players and getting punished for someone else's bad positioning would make anyone give up. I have one complaint with a few killers. Undetectable. Ghost face is completely black, in a black map, with a small bit that he even has to show. And the red stain. I feel like it needs a rework, especially as a console player. But spirit just needs her animations changed. During a chase rng can fuck you as it can take the red stain and make her very hard to see. It’s just stupid during chases. Otherwise they’re fine
