As an opera singer myself, I absolutely love this music, and it is the coolest thing ever to hear Avi sing these arias (opera songs) to the words of Adon Olam. Brilliant and enjoyable to listen to. Adon Olam seems to be a very popular prayer to write new melodies to. Adon Olam is also sung to many familiar melodies. What is it about that song that makes it a favorite? L'cha Dodi is the second most popular to write new arrangements to. I think it's a great idea to sing a variety of melodies - melodies of the season - of the Jewish holidays. Variety is a spice of life and no one will get bored.

It's also worth noting, Azi transposed many of these arias *HIGHER* than what the composers wrote, including the high C you talked about at 1:53. It's supposed to be a half step lower, so the high note is a B4 rather than a C5.
