Superb information as I was experiencing some of the side affects mentioned. Including loose stool, mild diarrhea and mild stomach pain but I noticed that it was only in the morning when I wake up, immediately feeling these affects in my stomach and then having to rush to the bathroom. After awhile I felt much better. I didn't realize these side affects until researching this video. Thing is that I'm also on a vacation and this is NOT the time to have this problem despite sending an email to my doctor. My only thing is to be careful on what to eat and drink, then take it a day at a time until I can see my doctor in person again. Thanks for the excellent explanation and video!

Z-Pak worked for me a few weeks ago as a last resort to help cure an undiagnosed infection. I immediately felt better by day 2 of the z-pak. Two weeks later, the same symptoms have returned mostly extreme fatigue and low energy. I am considering taking another z-pak because I have no other options. What are your thoughts on taking a second z-pak assuming the first z-pak did not kill off all the bad bacteria?

Hey Josh, do you have to take any more doses or are you done with the 1g? If you have to take more, I would recommend circling back with the doc. Ringing in the ears after Azithromycin is not very common but can happen. It usually subsides. However, if you have more doses to take, I would recommend erring on the side of caution and checking with your doctor if he wants you to continue with the same medication. All the best.

Zpak treats bacteria infections which Covid is NOT. Maybe they gave it to you in case there was bacterial infection

Even though it is very rare (0.3%), Tinnitus has been observed during post marketing studies of people taking Azithromycin. Will not be a bad idea to let your doctor know for directions as to the way forward.

I took this meds for the first time yesterday 500 for an unknown infection( I won’t know until my blood work comes back but I think it’s from a insect bite) but an hour after taking I felt pain in my heart and I could barely inhale. It happened around 5 other times.

Upper/lower infection -- Sinus and bronchial- didn't seem to have much of an impact, it's causing my illness to linger. I think I preferred Levofloxacin 500 mg worked GREAT last time I was sick.

Thanks. You made me feel at ease and I went ahead and filled my prescription right after watching this. I was a little worried because I don’t like medication and my strep test came back negative even though I was around somebody who has it and I am now sick. She gave this to me instead of penicillin because she said if I end up getting mono, penicillin can be bad for that. But then my mom said Z pack is not good for strep and it looks like Google said it could be weaker or something. Really didn’t want to take it if it had side effects and I don’t have strep but watching this video just made me feel safe and informed And I don’t usually take antibiotics it’s been like six years so I figure it can’t really hurt

Well usually the Z-Pak comes with six tablets you take two the first dose and then one every day until the medicine is done I just took my first two and I'm having bad stomach cramps I'm taking it for a sore throat can't wait for the four following days so I can get this over with 😡 (Update) I just finished my medicine (took it for a sore throat) and probably on the 4th day I started noticing my sore throat go away little by little. It took a week but it's gone and I feel great!!!!! but definitely eat it with something I made the mistake of taking my first dose without eating and cramps were so painful so the next few doses make sure you guys eat what I did was I had ate something waited about 20 minutes took the medicine and then finished eating my food and that really really helped with the cramps

Stop taking them. Sounds like your symptom is due to an allergic reaction to the medication. I know this is an old comment but for anyone who has shortness of breath after taking any medication should stop taking the medication immediately.
