Playmats with the dragons are cool, and much nicer to look at than the old colour bricks

I love them! They’re the right amount of art to make it look nice on screen when people have few permanents, but also not overwhelming.

Always will root for the Eldrazi! Finally having 2 true Eldrazi commanders that I can play is a dream come true!
@TheDylls6 ай бұрын
Coram is a spicy commander. Definitely at its best against Eldrazi, but it can theoretically swing for a ton of Commander damage out of nowhere

I'm going to miss the old layout Mr. Muddstah, but this looks real nice and clean 👍🏻

My guess is for Mathieu 🤔 Great showcase of certain decks here, makes me wish I got one or two of them.

Azlask needs WAY more scion/spawn generation, as well as some doublers. Otherwise, its plays exactly as we see here. I think your average Eldrazi players will struggle with him, as he doesn't really play the same way most Eldrazi decks want. Its not about putting out giant creatures to smack your opponents with, its actually more about flooding the board with smaller guys that (at face value) don't offer up much.
@MM-lv7iy7 ай бұрын
Honestly, rather than play Azlask as Eldrazi tribal, what he really is is the five color experience commander. Just have some scion and spawn producers on the side, along with some proliferate, and run all the experience counter commanders!
@MM-lv7iy7 ай бұрын
Also, Cayth from the energy deck would be perfect in Azlask! Lets every non-token come in with a free colorless body, and the spawn/scions can fuel her effects.
@ethnine26927 ай бұрын
@@MM-lv7iy Yeah, and the way I've seen him played is similar to this strategy exactly. Using the other experience commanders along side a lot of Changeling mechanics/token generation. I think viewing Azlask as a Eldrazi tribal commander overall is a mistake, and won't really synergize well. I mean I could be wrong and someone builds a deck where it works, but based on what I've seen its more of a token commander.
@dustinhutcheson78256 ай бұрын
Yes, giving 20 tokens annihilator 1 is much better than giving 4 tokens +6/+6. But it can certainly be built either way. Having said that, Matt could have swung that last turn and annihilated some stuff instead of playing 3 spells and then dying.

my vote goes for Azlask, though i don't know many scion/spawn generators there are in the precon. giving annihilator 1 to a bunch of tokens seems really strong.

As someone who only plays "kitchen table EDH" and still mains Edgar Markov, Azlask is a dream card for me... I lose MOST of the games I play with Edgar!! I play EDH so I can hang out with people. I have no problem holding vampires in hand and only playing one every couple of turns. But every once in awhile there's someone that brags a little too much. Bet. Eldrazi WEENIES sounds like I could play it the same way!

The game review suffered in audio quality and was at a different volume than the rest of the video, likely because you weren't talking to the mic. Just something that could be a little improved in your otherwise solid content. As for the game, Coram is so obviously a better commander for the deck than Disa that it boggles my mind. Coram's value is outrageous and he just has better synergy with the rest of the deck than Disa, Lhurgoyfs and all.
