Run Dexterity on the Primary kitgun if you want, since you have Glaive to stack it. Yes, I'm aware of stack decay bug. That's why you get to choose between Merciless or Dexterity. Merciless bug will reset naturally while using Glaive, whereas Glaive will keep the Dexterity bug alive if you trigger it by accident. If you are facing Infested, Pillage will not work well. Take Roar instead. This is what I subbed for. These quirky builds that explore unpopular mechanics/arcanes that actually work omega good. Btw I've discovered a mod called Gale Kick awhile ago and wondered ever since if something can be done with it to make it viable.. I mean who doesn't want to slamdunk your enemies, maybe you can think of something? I'm not that invested into the game's mechanics to "see through the code" lol

It's very gimmicky and I haven't tested its scaling, but when there was the Baruuk slam stack bug (as well as just stack bug in general, it's the same bug that broke knell for a few weeks, and also made titron able to store 10x stacks infinitely), you could stack Galekick mechanics and do millions of damage to it against enemies. Dystopia actually has a short clip of when he oneshot a L9999 Demolyst with it during the bug era. But outside of that, it will take some actual research to see what we can do.

I love playing Nekros. There's a certain amount of micromanagement you can do with his shadows to ensure your army is as powerful as possible, such as holding off on your 4's heal to let some shadows die, keeping desirable enemies intact to recruit later (I actually like Banish on Nekros for this), getting your shadows to a better position by moving a certain distance then returning, etc. There's a lot that can go into Nekros to make him extremely powerful, and it's an enjoyable little game to see how strong you can make your army. The Eximus update just made him stronger, with their heightened offensive and defensive capabilities you can make a group that supports each other in enough capacity to be almost self-sufficient. Once I got a bunch of Blitz Eximus and they just killed everything before I could even raise my gun.

Yea he really shines in endurance content where you have the spawn rate available and all enemy types unlocked so you can actually cherry pick properly. The potential of his kit is vast, it's unfortunate it takes a while to optimize the setup in-mission and a lot of people never get to try it out because of that. Of course, I wish I could showcase it properly but then the Nekros kit interactions for Shadows manipulation is near endless and even harder to actually showcase everything XD

@@Aznvasions I have that issue too, it can take a little long to get him rolling, but fortunately Nekros is still no pushover without a powerful army. With Shield of Shadows and Health Conversion he can reach 99% DR fairly easily, so even his 300 health pool can be nearly limitless after just killing a few Lancers or whatever so long as you take good care of them. Nekros also basically gives double drops just by playing the game, which really helps in the long run.

I had 0 idea something like this existed. I've always thought Nekros is one of the coolest looking frames but outside of farming I never saw use in him as he's kinda boring. Now with this setup and pillage I can have Xaku levels of fun and a proper summoner. That sounds epic. The Zymos no longer double dips multiplicative on its crit, and is now additive. The build still works, but has lost about 60% of its firepower. Just letting you know in advance. You will only see yellow crits with the occasional orange.

we can use hunter recovery on panzer, it heals as per damage dealt by panzer and panzer spreads spores which is counted as dmg so max health in couple of seconds. I use it on warframes with combat discipline arcane Avenger setup but it can be used for nekros as well.

Banger video, I can't remember the last time I unironically casted Shadows, ESPECIALLY for DPS. Seeing those minions pubstomp without pure enemy level scaling reignited my love for summoner gameplay, something I haven't felt since I played Necromancer from Diablo II. You and Nash concocted something special, a genuine use for Arcane's deemed worthless, on a frame's core identity that was often forgotten, overshadowed(ha) by the notion of being nothing more than the loot frame for the loot game. (1080% damage buff go brr, if it does apply on Shadows aswell) That said none of my friends uses kitguns, and I am fairly sure not all residuals do have 9m of radius like you said on the video, only Maladour and Shock. One way or another, I'd like to see this setup in action, maybe on a stream, who knows :d

hey, fun fact about cascadia flare- it procs on heat status effect FROM ANY SOURCE. While it still only applies to the secondary, this means you do not need to have heat on the secondary if you don't want to. I first noticed when i was getting the buff while my primary was out, and then went on to test this on a few abilities, such as Ember's kit and Firewalker, then companion weapons like Verglas, and even wukong's clone. Not sure how much use this info is, since all it really does, at best, is save a mod slot or two on most secondaries, or at least mean you don't HAVE to mod for Fire. Not sure how the damage bonus works, though, so it might be useful knowledge for something like Zymos? hurm....kidna wanna test a xaku-gaze zymos-cascadia flare Verglas-heat combo and see what happens

Pretty darn great. Also I was wondering, have you tried Equinox (night) with Parasitic Armor? You lose all shields, but you can still generate some passively on kill when Mend is active, and because you have a 0 base shield while Parasitic Armor is up, a single point of shield is treated as overshield, hence longer shieldgate.

Unfortunately as far as I can tell the Tek Assault mod can cause your cat to permanently die if it is active while martyr symbiosis is activated despite the panzer devolution. At least that's how it seemed to me when I was fighting steel path and my cat never respawned after a certain point.

I play something similar, only change I would recommend is putting pillage over terrify and use soul punch to keep shadows alive. It full heals them so you dont have to cast your 4

hey! an absolute banger of a video as always. Might i suggest the use of the mod [Mark of the Beast] on the glaive instead of the smite mod since you don't use it for dps you can take that out and make your secondary even stronger for proccing residual arcanes. In my mind this gives a reason to actually use glaive other than to life strike as in a mini buff for your other weapon. I feel like it makes the gameplay more engaging.

My healing method is let the cat's spores do the healing part. It is 66% the spore damage per enemy which will heal fully if your health pool is that low but not for this Nekros setup.

Its why Nash ran SoS with his so that it would help to not die but you have no back up if your pet goes in larva form right? I guess how do you live? Shield gating just doesn't seem like enough.

Just thought I’d add this: I’ve been testing this build a lot and discovered that the proc chance is really inconsistent but it might be due to a bug where the arcane is registering the proc chance as applying only 20% of the time same as the residual aura. Although, if you use this build against corpus, for some reason it works normally and procs every time. Grineer and corrupted not so much. Didn’t test infested cuz why would u use it there lol. When the build works it’s busted, I’ve done a level cap run with this build(was hell to do because of how inconsistent it was). Really hope DE fixes this bug so nekros mains can shine

Update: so I think I found a method for increasing the builds consistency. Not sure if this will work for everyone, but the sequence is -kill enemies and cast shadows -get first residual buff and re cast shadows - get second residual buff and re cast shadows -you should now have your combined elements and 720% buff on your shadows and they should be 1 shotting everything - if your shadows aren’t procing your combined element and one shotting enemies, then do the whole process again. This method seems to work nearly every time for me and massively increased the consistency for me. One important thing to note is that from my testing, besides corpus(and infested cuz I didn’t test that) your first residual buff usually won’t affect the shadows but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. As when you apply the second residual buff your shadows now might be one shotting and have the combined element. - another important thing to note is DO NOT try to reapply the same elemental residual buff twice. Get the first buff and re cast shadows then get the second one and re cast shadows. If your shadows don’t have the combined element go back to the FIRST residual buff and do it all over again. Interestingly, this build is great for farming steel and essence and focus as with a lua lens equipped you could get around 30-100k focus in 15-30 minutes. Also a cool interaction is if you are fighting grineer, if your shadow has the 720% corrosive buff and hops on a grineer turret, the buff applies to the turret damage as well. Haven’t tested it on similar mechanics but it prolly works the same way. Hope this helps anyone who sees. Sorry for wall of text

Before i get through the video, imma say my build dumps efficiency with blind rage, and his 1 is blood altar with stretch and reach, with base duration, and I lose health almost as fast as my shadows, forcing me to stay in range of the altar to survive with my 3 active, which in turn procs Arch-Intensify. Also shadows wandering out of range of the altar die fast enough that he's not a nuisance in Defense missions. Accidentally created a more thematic vampire-frame than revenant. Since Terrify ends up one-stripping all armor, there's no need for corrosive, so i built my gaze for electrical and punch through and i just... Dump fire into my altar victims and the electrical proc shreds dudes in range, and seems to spawn residual bubbles You don't need to build for gas around infested, just bring heat and you'll get a Toxic eximus buffing you eventually (and if you want your guns not buffed, you can just wander out of range of the eximus. Edit: cool, never thought to stage the infections with CC element first. Edit: i forgot panzers exist ngl, too meta, been running my smeeta, somehow survives (don't ask, no idea how) Edit: i also didn't realize secondary gaze chained, oh god, why don't i have that Edit: no shadowshield? Also what do you mean desecrate works better with duration than range??? Ah, ye old Pillage. Never considered reinstalling it once I started building for strength. Realizing the pillage aughemtn was useless on helminth destroyed my relationship with it I think. Instead of anomaly i just run vazarin's slurper because old habits because I'm still coping over the defense objective invincibility nerf. Thank you for the nier outro, and sorry for the wall.

I have not tried hystrix, but one thing that might be interesting to you is that the Toxin Hystrix (and only the toxin hystrix) has multiplicative Gun CO scaling for some reason.

You have to avoid the bug, that's basically it. Since the buff sticks, you only have to get it right once and then don't have to bother for the rest of the mission unless you're trying to reset shadows.

Eh. This build is fun in theory but annoying and inconsistent in practice. Even with the higher mob density in Steel Path and good KPS with my Kitguns, I was not having much luck getting the Residual zones to spawn. Not to mention it is generally not a good idea to be idling in one spot to build stacks when you've got dozens of high level enemies gunning for you. While I do admire your ability to come up with builds that go against the meta, I'm personally gonna give this one a hard pass. (Unless DE decides to revisit and buff the Theorem/Residual Arcanes someday).

Yeah, +1 to this. I've been playing around with using the residual arcanes for damage buffs for a while, and requires a bit of setup to get right, that being you need some form of grouping to have any chance of getting a zone to spawn, let alone a few. It's a good concept if you'd rather give up consistency for fun.

Shame you need them arcanes for the build to work.. They are all hard to obtain or expensive to buy with standing. Super grind to get all them sets. But it will give me something to do for the next month i guess :) Sick build idea.

unfortunately, yes, because residual arcanes can only be equipped on kitguns.

It can work, though has varying degrees of success depending on remaining armor. Will always be better on full strip though. Spectres applying viral status though is super hit and miss, so it’s moreso the damage bonus against flesh you’ll be getting. I’d say usually corrosive will still be better, if they have armor left.

Uhh wouldnt it be better to replace terrify since the 1 can just fully heal your shadows and it doesnt count as resummoning them (i think*)

It does, I just kept terrify to compare and explain. There are parts of the video using Soul punch, I was just tired of repeatedly Helminth'ing multiple slots of the same ability. While I don't expect people to watch the entire video, it is also the reason I put time stamps in hopes people notice the more important sections.
