I just use hound with link mod, lifting all the enemies usually keeps him alive and he can get around 10k shields and hard prime everything

For those wondering for other companion options, a hound is actually a really good pick here. You still get benefits from shield charger and guardian and link redirection gives it more shields then hildryn. Null audit, coolant leak and manifold bond give you all the priming you need as null audit eximus effects like jade light and the fire aoe also apply status effects. After that you can either slot Reinforced bond for more fire rate, or Seismic bond for efficiency to fuel your alt fire spam and more priming as seismic bonds' AoE also applies manifold bond.

Highly recommend to revisit the mod [Coolant Leak] again It is a precept which can benefit from Manifold Bond, making Nautilus the better Diriga, grouping up enemies and prime them with status.

ngl I hate how much Hildryn needs to make her relatively strong; you need strength for pillage and Balefire damage, you need range for Balefire AoE, you need efficiency and duration for both the channeled abilities, you need a good amount of max shields, you need adaptation or the boreal set/ aviator or aura for extra DR. Don't get me wrong the build here is really nice but it just sucks to know how much potential is missing cause we have to sacrifice on everything a little bit

Would an Electric Elemental Ward + violet archon shards build be a good investment? In this case using the violet shards for % bonus ability damage on enemies affected by electricity status.

Electric Ward only hits one enemy per discharge, rather than all of them. One discharge is produced per instance of shield removed, and the damage of the discharge scales by amount of shield removed. Because Balefire is basically Bramma on crack now, Electric Ward would not be able to do anything on this particular build. If enemies get close enough for Ward to get consistent tags, in theory the shards might be able to do something, but it is extremely unreliable in this particular case due to how the hitbox and ease of DPS Balefire has.

Unkillable is kind of clickbait since she can still be one shot then you have to hide with vazarin for a bit until you gain some shield. She still has the issue where eventually enemies just do too much damage which cripples her entire kit

If pet rework works out great, expect pets like adarza kavat being useful to hildryn and adarza kavat with reflect precept and elusive posture mod can be tanky enough to distract aggro and at the same time buff the crit of balefire along with arcane avenger to reach 100% cc (cat's eye can have max uptime of 33%). Since hildryn flies high, shifting aggro focus won't be difficult, specially in squad 😈. But yeah u can also deploy any tanky NPC ally as aggro attractor like lich on call crew, which would even spread status effects if having a decent weapon. Although sentinels with shield mods perform far better IMO.

More pillage usage. The other recommendation is that if you don't need Balefire Surge, replace it with Fleeting Expertise if you are not using a Helminth that needs Duration. If it is a Helminth that needs Duration, replace Balefire Surge with Streamline instead. Alternatively, you can drop Augur Reach for Streamline if you want to keep Balefire Surge, and it won't drastically nerf the DPS capabilities of the build.

@@Aznvasions thanks for the reply, i've been using adaptation in place of balefire surge. i ended up trading augur reach for boreals hatred, and the 15% efficiency bonus made the build much more comfortable than i thought it would. doubles for extra shield capacity too :)

You've gotta use Balefire Surge to it's max, and not use the spammy new Balefire shot augment's effect so often. Primary Fire Full charges to refill shields, then alt-Fire shots to take out priority targets or whenever you have full shields and can spare a shot or 2 for groups

another good way to keep up shields is arcane aegis, it makes it much easier. I've been proccing it a lot so I believe it procs off of the shield as energy usage from hildryn, but dont quote me on that.

Good buffs, but her flight is still very limiting and not nearly as quick and agile as Jade, way she just sinks into pits is a dealbreaker. Dont forget Tenacious Bond on pet if you do a crit build. Adarza cat for max damage.

Is there a way to use Secondary Outburst + Ceramic Dagger to buff the Balefire Charger? Might be difficult to proc it but maybe something like melee out of operator while Aegis Storm is active could possible do it. If you absolutely have to leave Aegis Storm it wouldn't be worth it though.

Such a shame we have all this power creep, yet very little to use it on anymore.. Us disruption players are still fine, but more casual SP players suffer especially much now from enemies falling over, bu sneezing at them.
