Few moments in gaming are as satisfying as when you get to kill Algus/Argath. And the remake lets you do it again, because the developers knew that's what we would've wanted.

Oh how I hated that arrogant roach! It's hard to make a person who you NEED to kill in games; not just for plot development, but for an actual personal release of emotion!

Then there's the Rendezvous where you can kill him 8 times.

And then you kill him AGAIN in FFXIV's latest raid. He's the final boss of the 24-man raid released as of patch 4.1. And this music plays during the entire raid, segueing into Battle on the Bridge (not BIG bridge, there is a difference) for the boss fights.

I didn't kill Algus I methodically tore him apart. I used Knight Sword to slow him down to 1 speed so he couldn't react to anything I was doing, killed off all his men in front of him, encircled him, so he couldn't run away, used Knight Sword with Ramza to break all of his equipment (not even worth stealing his gear) and finally , when he had nowhere to run, was stripped to nothing, and had about 99 turns before his next chance to do anything, then we finally and mercifully cured Ivalice of his existence.

Forever my favorite Tactics battle theme, though just by a hair since all the others are quite amazing too. I noticed some mention of Dissidia, and wanting Ramza be put in. With Dissidia Arcade coming, I'd be looking forward to Tactics getting some love there. My first choice would be Holy Knight Delita, though he might be better suited for the Chaos side. Ramza and Balbanes come to mind first for the Cosmos side, Agrias would be great for another strong female character, or Meliadoul would be good too, even better if made to fight against her brother Izlude.

For some reason I remember this being only 2/3 this Tempo.... Maybe it was the original Playstation having processor speed issues, but it played at a slower tempo than this, and the slower tempo worked better. This fast tempo kills tension and makes it feel less action. The notes are not receiving enough time to build either tension or contrast, in this version.

Mog of War I played this one PS1 recently and the tempo is exactly the same. Not sure what would make it sound slower to you but this is the way it is in the game.
