Thank you for sharing your countries history with all of us. As a person who studied World War 2 from the American and also from several Germans that worked on our farms. They had sent several POW camps through the middle of the states thinking were will they go in the middle of no wear. and @Robertw5052 I agree it is a horrific weapon both sides use a lot.

Yes and no. What we commonly think of as balloons can't be steered but, dirigibles AKA blimps, airships and/or zeppelins can move under their own power and be steered. It's possible that the word the russians used didn't translate well but also, they're not used much since the Hindenburg so, it may have just been a balloon.

People that sit behind their desks or phone, cheering this on, would be the first ones crying to mamma and pissing their pants in a real firefight. War is disgustingly violent, and videos dont show the whole totallity of it. When you see death, hear death, and smell death, you will know it for the rest of your life as you can never un-remember it.
