@@sgtcockburn5824 fortunately, Impact Casing is *way* less critical on rockets than Spike is on GLs. It's something like a 10% increase to impact damage, which ends up being something less than 2.5% Whereas Spike Grenades can be closer to a 20% increase with the right setup.

A few weeks ago I saw that I got one with slideshot and explosive light and even though I have a great apex, I kept it because I've never seen slideshot on a rocket launcher. I'm so glad I did because it also has impact casing!!!

I don't know how much it would change the dps values, but you can get 4 rockets in the mag with envious assassin (kill one ad, swap to rocket to get 2 in the mag, kill other 10 ads, the perk will add 2 rockets to the mag and get you to 4, it sounds harder that it actually is), and with cold comfort's origin trait you can fire 5 rockets without reloading. Maybe you did it in the testing but I didn't see that in the video so I though I'd point it out

This feels like a strategy that only works on paper. 6 people slideshotting in a well in a raid is just going to result in 4 dead people as they all shoot one of the guys in front of them mid slide.

Yay, I got Slideshot + Explosive Light very soon after it dropped. I thought it would be good but more of a meme weapon, glad to know it’s very strong. I also have Envious + B&S Cold Comfort and crafted Apex, now we need top tier Strand and Void rockets to replace Semiotician and Red Herring, complete the rocket rainbow. Nice to be able to double up on Surges Also, if you’re using rockets for swap DPS then I’d still say a reload perk like Envious or Reconstruction is the way to go, Slideshot is just for blowing your load all at once

I got a permeability surrounded roll today and love it, I pair it with a permeability rocket sidearm and I have a solid setup I can use on any subclass but absolute slaps on strand with the seasonal mods

I love crux for nightfalls/dungeons but in raids not so much unless you tell your fireteam you will be sliding alot ( it WILL cause deaths from people hitting you with rockets in wells/bubbles ect. I use fourth horseman + crux & mask of bakris

Personally, I've been loving my Reconstruction/Bipod roll. Having 4 rockets ready to go at any time is so much fun, and it's nice to not feel like I'm wasting my exotic if I'm not running it in heavy.

I got a Crux with Bi-pod, Clown cartridge, and impact casing. So it can hold three rockets in the clip. I can fire 3 rockets, use hunter dodge to reload, then fire 3 more. I been melting bosses like crazy

I just got a Volatile Launch/HV/Slideshot/demolitionist roll of that thing. So i can also throw a damaging grenade while doing this for a free reload without starting to slide around everywhere. And i get Grenade energy to boot.

Really late comment, but after just getting back into Destiny, I was interested to see how slideshot would work on a Rocket Launcher. For me, if you want to use this in a raid encounter, be prepared to be behind your team if youre going to be sliding around during a DPS phase full of Egde Transits.

I have several god rolls of this rocket right now with a farm that I have found (it is not fun) I have: quick launch - impact - slide shot - bipod quick launch - impact - clown - explosive light quick launch - impact - clown - surrounded permeability - surrounded envious - surrounded envious - explosive light the bipod roll is my favorite because of slideshot, I am still going for the slideshot explosive light/surrounded roll pain.

I'll be honest, Cross... I'm not grinding for this weapon. My Cold Comfort hits really hard, and I was lucky enough to get Envious Assassin and Explosive Light. I can shoot up to five supercharged rockets all while standing still. Plus I've got two more, one charged with EL and one regular. It treats me well and it has never left my Heavy slot for any reason.

here is the problem. On paper it is statistically the best rocket. However, just like ignition code it ends up being more of a gimmick for 99% of activities. The fact is that staying in a well with other guardians while sliding will cause frustration for the user and their fireteam members. Wells radius will end up feeling real small and players are bound to either shoot teammates with rockets or wish they would have not signed on. It reminds me of all the fourth times with rewind or triple tap hype. people were really excited because on paper it sounded good or interesting but in reality it just caused frustration and made people realize that the other options of rewind and bait and switch on supremacy were better.

Amazing rocket, however: the situation you want the most damage is also the same situation you can't slideshot, or at least shouldn't. So while in theory it has amazing numbers, in practice it doesn't work. Outside of dps phases on bosses.... dps doesn't really matter much. Great rocket, full RNG drops makes farming impossible, and the only situation it could be useful clashes with its main mechanic of slideshot. It'll stay in B tier for me.

I probably just deleted that exact god roll, maybe minus impact casing because the idea of slide shot on a rocket did not sound appealing mainly because I'm bad at timing so I'd more than likely just kill myself with it rather than do a proper boss DPS phase. I guess I'll keep an eye out for those rolls. I shoulda known.

I want to see another video just like this one but for Ros Arago iv. Rewind rounds/subsistence + onslaught with gyrfalcons. That gives you a 900 RPM auto rifle with volatile rounds that spawns void submunitions (from wild card) on kill, and void breaches + orbs that give devour. It CRANKS in pve and especially against overload champs this season with the overload auto rifle seasonal mod. Use with Levi’s breath for the Easiest/most fun hunter invis loop available.

bipod reduces rocket dmg by 25% and ruins yoou amm ecooomy (ie you still get the same amount of rockets from bricks but do much less damage

The world drops this season are by far the best weapons. It's a return to form for D2. The random drops are the chase. Now they're going to nerf slideshot though.

They will not - the perk is trash on this rocket. Go for Reconstruction and be happy… a much better option. No one is using Slideway on Apex, let alone Slideshot on Crux. Both are gimmick perks…

If u want something good RL, probably its time, last wish is currently in featured raid, you could farm the easiest boss in the game and u can also cheese boss, in 8 minutes, for chance single drop. Crux is not pratical to use for slideshot (in particular RL not good using slideshot because "your teammate sometimes standing in front of u while u shoot", "boss always move, slide aim is hard to do especially for console even i use pc i still struggle", "its world drop, its rng", and its not crafted weapon.

Are you serious about the test? There are so many unanswered questions and so many mistakes. The test shows what? You can empty the gun in 15 seconds and then what? What do you do in the next dps phase? Watch and do nothing? With the Apex Predator I shoot 4 times with Bipod, go to a Sniper or Fusion Rifle and keep pressing damage and that in all rounds, what do you do with your great Rocketlauncher? Stand in the corner and look for ammo?

@@wookieehairem2557 Still very good! Clown is just a very simple reload perk, helps in any engagement, and it'll be on par to better than envious assassin over a prolonged dmg phase. Like with everything, gotta use perks to see what you like and (nearly) everything has a level of viability to them.

I think reconstruction is better when it comes to rotating through your weapons. Also envious assassin requires enemies to kill to fill the mag.
